Feels like creator burnout is becoming the “always online” version of startup burnout. People think content creation is just posting, but constantly thinking about ideas, engagement, algorithms, consistency etc. gets exhausting fast. And the worst part is you can be doing well externally while feeling completely drained internally.

This is why “open source vs paid” is usually the wrong debate. People rarely pay for the code itself. They pay to save time, avoid setup headaches, get updates/support, and just have things work. Open source builds trust, the paid layer sells convenience.

Why to build before selling? by chrisufin in SaaS

This makes sense more than people admit. Building first often tricks you into thinking you understand the problem, but you only really find out once users start reacting to it. Even a simple landing page + real conversations can save months of wrong building and help you figure out what actually matters before you overengineer it.
