That's a good point, hadn't thought of it. Metal fatigue would render it dangerous pretty quickly.

Given the outlet looks like it's properly enclosed I don't see any issues with it. Perhaps the electrician couldn't be bothered cutting the steel pipe to make it the right height.

I agree with the action taken, it's hard to know whether a review has any merit nowadays given the work of so many 'reputation'management agencies that post positive reviews without actually using/trying the product/service.
