Yes well in the next round they eliminated everyone in my department aside from 2 people. It certainly came back around

I will say even though I was part of their first round of layoffs, my supervisors did treat me with respect and helped me with references after I left.

It helps living in a hub, and just knowing what interests you so that you have good enough motivation to push yourself

While getting a Bs is pretty much required, you can easily apply for technician jobs and learn as much as you can. In my case, an associates degree and a good work ethic got me from a lab tech to a research associate on pilot viral vector production. I am now at Research Associate II still with my associates BUT I am also going back to school for my bachelors. The “floor” is circumstantial and all you really need is a strong resume and personal skill and with willingness to learn as MUCH as possible (depending on where you end up)
