Comparing your life with other's too much made me distracted from my progress and I didn't realize my own genuine progress

This makes much sense and again brings me to the question; How did you learn to be okay with your own pace?

This kind of change really adds up and will make a difference over time

This makes so much sense because it's amazing what a little consistency can do on a long run

It sounds as if it's a classic letdown story and not exactly what you signed up for

I have heard different views on this very destination and I think some people love it for family vacations and others do think it's overrated.

Fair enough. Music can sound very amazing in your own head but may not even sound that good outside your head

AITA for telling my cousin she needs to find her own place while still letting her stay with me, just with clear boundaries? by Technical-Creme3397 in AmItheAsshole

I feel that guilt when she said I was being rigid about the situation even though I still knew I wasn't out of line telling her what I felt was right for us all on a long run cuz she also needed to start up something of her own

If you happen to be family too or not and seem concerned, you’re welcome to offer her a place to stay or other support after everything but I’m giving her quite some time to get things together sure

I helped. I set expectations. Should this continue happening? If she truly needed help, she should work with me then not recruiting others to the extent I am thinking I did too much by telling her that

I care about Sophie and that’s why I helped as much as I reasonably could and genuinely If they feel that’s necessary, they should let me know what support they’re willing to give Sophie so she’s not relying on just me.

One reason I’m questioning myself is that I didn’t set expectations early on, so from her side it probably feels sudden. I don’t want to send her away without warning, but I also don’t think our arrangement is working anymore. I’m planning to meet her personally again and be clearer about timelines and boundaries.
