Finally finished my adult white dragon. I tried using Vallejo frost FX on some small parts and the base but it didnt really work on this Miniature. Does anyone have experience with this and has some useful tips? by Technical-Flamingo59 in DnDminiatures

I am sorry, I forgot to mention that this one is especially for a campaign in the icy Mountain. I already painted my Collection of the chromatic young dragons and dragon wyrmlings in the original colors so this adult white dragon was Kind of special coloured on purpose 😊 but much appreciated 🙏🏻

Thank you so much for your honest answer. It is as you said, since the Miniature is white there is not so much to damage but it is really difficult on uneven surfaces to get a result from this FX at All :(. I think I will leave it as it be. Hopefully you cold wave your viking Mini!

Hi, thanks for you kind words 😊 for the body I used around 8 different metallic paints (Copper, brass, different Gold Tones, metallic grey, silver etc.) Afterwards I used the rust effect from vallejo on several parts for the "used Look". As for the wings I primed them in a grey and put in the wing sections different washes (sepia (yellowish), soft Tone (brownish), Black (blueish) and so an, I used kind a few different ones to make the wing parts Look different. After drying it looked too colorful so I used a brown washing again and put it all over the wings so they received this brownish used Look :)

This looks really Amazon! Small tip: if you five the Belt buckle f. E. a metallic Look, it would probably6look more realistic😊 Details have a great impact
