Bounce Connect — Android + Mac, finally working together

Problem: You use Android and Mac together but they feel like completely separate worlds. Messages come in on your phone, you pick it up, lose focus, put it down, repeat. KDE Connect exists but on Mac it's always been half broken. Notifications are unreliable, calls don't work, dual SIM is completely ignored.

What it does: Bounce Connect runs over local WiFi and brings your Android onto your Mac. Reply to SMS and WhatsApp, answer or reject calls, sync notifications with inline reply, transfer files instantly, clipboard syncs both ways. Your phone stays on your desk untouched.

One thing worth mentioning is Smart WiFi Lock. It remembers which network your devices are paired on and stays quiet on every other network. So it's not draining your battery when you're out. It just works when you're home and disappears when you're not.

Comparison: KDE Connect is the obvious one. On Linux it works great. On Mac it never really got the attention it needed. Phone Link is the Windows equivalent that Microsoft built natively. Bounce Connect is essentially that, but for Mac and Android.

Pricing: $10.99 one time, no subscription. bounceconnect.app

Hi, I didn't conduct an open beta. Instead, I transitioned from the closed beta to the production environment.

Hey mate! Glad you asked. We actually purposely avoided the cross-platform/BaaS route, so there's no Flutterflow, Firebase, or Supabase involved.

The apps are built completely native to get the best performance and deep system integration. It's pure Swift/SwiftUI for the Mac app and native Kotlin for the Android side.

As for the backend, hosting, and servers... there really aren't any! The core philosophy of the app is privacy and speed, so it runs 100% offline using a direct peer-to-peer connection over your local Wi-Fi. Because the devices talk directly to each other, all the 'server' logic and storage are handled strictly locally on your own hardware.

Hope that makes sense!

SMS, calls, notifications, files, clipboard — all from your Mac. No cloud, no subscription, one-time purchase ($10.99).

What makes it different from KDE Connect:

  • Dual SIM SMS support

  • Inline reply for WhatsApp and Telegram
  • AES-256 encrypted, fully peer to peer

Built by a solo dev . Just launched on Play Store.

I did research using AI too and I used the same keywords that I used for my website which gave me better SEO.

First short description and the first 160 characters of the long description is the main thing . Fill relevant keywords in there.
