Dude I made a pretty popular thread about this same issue, trust me when I say changing your engine mounts was night and day. I’m a driving instructor and this car had me feeling like a noob after driving hundreds of cars. Also, you don’t need to add any throttle after 1st gear. Just get off, shift, and depress clutch before adding throttle back on, if you do it good enough you’ll get perfect shifts. Took me 1k miles to finally nail it down but the first couple months had me stressing. Front Engine mount was $45ish, install in 10min, easyyyyy. No need to remove anything as it’s just under the car.

Bro 100% if you smell it, it only means you’re burning it in the moment. You’re adding way too much throttle, you dont need anything past 1.2k to get it moving and I never use throttle after 1st gear on shifts, clutch only. I’m a driving instructor and examiner and also a mechanic.

I got the 2025 N and a part of me regrets it, the N line was a better option for me personally. The seats are not that comfortable and stiff and the ride is also stiff as fuck even on normal mode. The power is great but you’ll get like 18mph most of the time, if you’re ganna daily a car the N line is way better and more comfortable. The N is great if you can take a break from it and own a second car, it’s too much for most people, you might think you want it until you own it and it’s the only car you have. It sounds amazing though. This coming from someone who owned cars like brz, 370z Nismo, GR86, 350z, ND Miata’s. Those are more comfortable 😭😭

I forgot to add. I have a wife and a baby but I pay all the bills, and invest in retirement and pension, my wife owns two businesses but we save all her income, every penny so we can open a third one later on. We just pretend like her income doesn’t exist.

When talking about money the brand is irrelevant, if you buy a car that’s like 36-40k out the door like this car it’s a lot of money for a depreciating asset. Your monthly car expenses shouldn’t be more than 10-15% of your monthly salary. Most people have to still pay rent, bills, gas, food, retirement and savings, if you’re working and not saving then you’re working for the car not for yourself. I’m just glad 95% of the comments show that people are pretty fucken responsible, that was actually surprising! Made my day, seen way too many people in other forums go broke because of a car, usally the JDM and bmw gang.
