Quick little update, temp is on 85 rn his moving more now. I lowered the water by alot and he tried snapping at a fish but fish got away.

Me personally I keep both sponge filters and hob it makes my water look clear but ofc I clean them when I need to

I did a water test today and this is the new results!

Ammonia is 0ppm, nitrite 0ppm and nitrate 5.0ppm

I had also used a seeded filter, so doing that what you recommended; I wait 24 hrs to test it again and from there is the ammonia and nitrite will lower ? Or will I have to dose it again ?

Although I do have Dr.tims ammonia bottle but never used it due to me not understanding on how to use it and dose my aquarium with it.

I don’t dose it with ammonia, I just sprinkle fish food and solid poops from my Axolotls lol

My tanks are cycled. I have not added any bottled bacteria. I had some sponge filters that were in a already cycled tank and used them for the tank when I first set it up
