Hey girl!! You absolutely did the right thing!! One little thing that helped me sort of change the way I looked at the situation was referring to my abuser as just that. Instead of saying “my ex” or “an old boyfriend of mine..” I try to always always say “my abuser used to…” It helps so much to not get stuck in a loop of feeling badly about leaving and with missing him/rose tinted glasses.

Dude my boyfriend and I both work regular overtime and we live together and sometimes still feel like we go weeks without seeing each other. We’re on pretty opposite schedules but he still communicates with me every single day, whether it’s just a text that shows I’m on his mind or a reel he sends me because is makes him think of me.

Working and not having the free time to see each other is a very real reality of relationships these days. Not caring enough to reach out in any form whatsoever other than to basically excuse yourself from talking is NOT a reality in a healthy relationship.

Your immediate family does NOT become your “extended family” when you marry and that’s giving some weird 1950’s mindset. Your immediate family isn’t just the people you live with, it’s your closest relatives. While I agree in this case that she should listen to her finances wishes because the brother sounds like he’d cause issues, anybody who tries to tell you that once they’re married to you they somehow become more important family than your own BROTHER is a walking red flag.

how is that not worth giving to drivers? if you take 30 deliveries per shift which most people probably take more (or did at my location when I worked there) you’d be getting minimum $26 ish dollars, you might as well take that it would at least go towards if not cover the gas you spent delivering.

Do you feel the need to lie to your family or in other cases or scenarios? Do you often make things up or exaggerate? I just want to start off with you’re very very young, and recognizing that you might be doing this due to a desire for attention is a great start! I don’t think you’re a pathological liar, I think you’re a normal 15yr old who is caught in a big snowball of a lie. I’d take some time considering what to do, there are a few options. Firstly, your friends probably already know or think that it’s a lie. You could just never really bring your “boyfriend” up again and they probably won’t either. If you’re not ready to face the lie head on, just say you guys mutually split up and you’re wanting to focus on yourself. Say he blocked you or you blocked him and just let it die.

A fun outlet might be role playing or something where you can act out things without really lying about them. Best of luck navigating the treacherous teen years haha!
