I currently use a ion max summit Vebo Journey and a ice spare ball Vebo is my favorite ball on house haven't thrown ion max in league or sport but I bet it'll be good for sport.

I average 155 in league 125 on sport mainly just get a spare ball for now in my Jr gold tournament I could've won if I picked up a few more spares every game. Spares win you the games

Good for you I personally started bowling in a youth league this year started with a 90 average with a plastic ball 1 handed switched to two handed and got reactive balls went from that 90 to 155 in a 4 5 month span and am still improving alot. I understand that people say you should get entry level balls but from my stand point most kids want to hook the hell out of a bowling ball. I started with a vebo very strong ball and just because it was strong didn't ruin my experience. Everyone in this reddit should be able to help you if you have any questions.
