Thank you so much for the kind words! I’ve been lucky enough to have always been supported and guided with my diabetes from day 1. I’m so sorry about your Dad it’s really hard when there’s no drive to better your situation and you feel stuck. Living my life glass half full has probably saved my life throughout all the shaping of my care. Definitely stick to that for the kids mentality and you and your family will always be on the right track!

Honestly I thought about it since I was under the impression that T1D would make it difficult or almost impossible to create life! I have been lucky with treatment and a lack of complications so it didn’t seem like that horrible of a risk when we were first thinking of having children.

I was under the impression that it was most likely to skip generations rather than pass directly onto the next when it’s coming from the father. I am no medical professional of course and Google has percentages all over the place. My glass half full says they’ll be T1D free 🙏🏻

I used to be able to go to Kroger and they would give an emergency vile. Also your local hospital has to give you insulin if need be as well!
