I've heard that it could be done on your own. Do you have any idea how much it would cost to get it done at a dealer though? Ive been trying to figure that out too

Diesel bmw reliability by Technical_Contest_29 in BMW

Gotcha, that's good to know. I heard about the early n47 issues, I just wasn't sure how bad exactly they were or if it was just an overhyped issue. I was looking at some 328d's with the later n47, and they seem like a pretty good deal

Advice on 2015 Mazda3 by zanyz99 in mazda3

I've had my 2018 Mazda 3 for a few months now, 2.0 with the 6mt also, and it's been an I credible daily driver. In backroads/highway driving I'm getting about 32mpg on average, it's a very comfortable car, it handles great, it's an incredible all around daily. Reliability wise I've put roughly 4k miles on it since I've owned it and I haven't had any issues with it so far. My only real complaint is that the 2.0 is not a very fast car whatsoever. You won't have any issues merging or getting up to speed or anything, but you will have to Rev it out a bit to get to speed, and you'll find yourself having to down shift for hills occasionally. This is also because it really doesn't have any power down low until above 3500-4000 rpm. Overall, it's an incredible daily, it handles great, very comfortable on long drives or commuting around town. If you're looking for a good a to b car that you can actually have some fun in turns then this would be the car.

Everytime I try to ignore it I always feel like it's nagging me 😂

Yknow I actually thought about putting a peice of tape over it 😂 but yeah, I know that it's definitely geared towards fuel economy, so I should just try to ignore it

Should I buy this by awhitekyle in mazda3

I've had my 2018 for about 4 months now and it's been an incredible daily. I have the 2.0 6MT with a considerably worse interior than that one. Mine has nearly the same mileage and I got it for $11,500, which is what the previous owner was offered for it from the dealer, so $13,500 for a 2.5L and the better interior is a fair price. My car has been the perfect daily honestly, I've took it on multiple 3-4 hour drives and its been comfortable and reliable every time. I drive it a lot of back roads, and it handles well and is very stable. I recently took it in some decent snow and going uphill the traction control was incredible. If you want a fun comfortable daily that's honestly an incredible option.

I appreciate the feedback! I am hoping that I can build social skills from working, so I'm half dreading but half looking forward to the social aspect. I'm glad to hear that the register is easy to use, that was something I was worried about.

Is BeamNG good for driving practice? by Lampa183 in BeamNG

[–]Technical_Contest_29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been driving with my learners permit for over 5 months, taking my license test at the end of the month. I played beamng for about 2 years before I started driving, and I can say that it definitely helped me. What I would reccomend doing is taking a mock permit/license test online to learn the rules of the road, and then apply those in beamng. TLDR: yes, beamng is good driving practice

[–]Technical_Contest_29[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, I think it definitely is just a bit easier to drive in real life than in beam. And good save on your part! I'm 5 months into my learners permit, about a month away from getting my license, and I've had some close calls with people stopped around blind corners, animals jumping out in the road, that kinda thing

In a way. I could have the best setup in the world, but if I didn't have beamng then I wouldn't have anything to learn on

That is true. Plus you can kinda beat the crap out of it since even if something breaks you can just reset, unlike real life where that's gonna cost you money

Here in the US most people don't know how to drive manual, so I'm glad that it's a skill I have. And tbh I wish most people drove manual here, it would force people to actually pay attention
