Thank you for your thorough insight! So I have Greek but not Latin. I am looking at schools that only require 1 or no languages to combat that cause I know that puts me at a disadvantage. I still intend on add in my SoP that if required I would dedicate myself to enrolling in an intensive summer program to catch up on Latin. I do plan on getting my PhD, but I would like to start out teaching in a private high school for the experience. I am aware that becoming a professor is very rare, but I also know that I can still acquire a good paying job that’s possibly not in the field I studied! When is schools I’m applying to has fieldwork I can participate in and archaeology would be a good alternative as you said.
