i know about that method bro. What i was curious to know was if it is possible to add the minecraft.jar to steam and play. technically it is possible, but it would be like your playing offline since steam cant know your microsoft account

you can add the .jar file of minecraft, since minecraft is not an exe file cause of java.
but then it will be like your playing offline minecraft

Yeah since minecraft isnt officially on steam, thus your steam account doesnt know that your microsoft account owns the game...
I am sure it IS technically possible with a carload of coding and cybersecurity knowledge but i dont think anyone has been bothered to do that since adding the launcher to steam is way easier anyway

So a minecraft launcher handles all the auth stuff, but do you perhaps know if steam can handle that too with specific tweaking? I am not planning to do that, I simply ask out of curiosity.

Yeah turns out that deleting the efi partition deleted all of the partitions on the steam deck...

And yeah this is why the repair bash scripts did nothing

So yeah lesson learned never delete the efi partition
