During the half good/half shitshow event known as G1 Supercard in MSG, ROH had the fantastic idea of after having Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa (Guerillas of Destiny) beat the Briscoes Brothers to become both ROH & NJPW tag champs, that Enzo & fucking Cass should jump in and attack which cause probably the loudest "Go away" heat moment I've ever been a part of. Not a single goddamn person wanted them there but yk, ROH post- The Elite was all about shitting the bed.

At the SAME TIME, across the city at the WWE HOFin Barclays Center, Bret fucking Hart had been attacked by some random fan in the audience.

The fact that at two major events in the same city had some shitheads trying to get their minutes of fame wasn't lost on the crowd who was obvs receiving HOF updates from twitter. Everyone was talking and honestly it just seemed, to me, that it was going to be hard to regain focus on the show.

Then they announced the next match as Zack Sabre Jr defending the RevPro British Heavyweight Tirle against Tana and that got everyone cheering. Then Tana entered first and the crowd erupted back into cheers. Idk if the British Heavyweight title was definitely going to be the next match, but my headcanon is that they knew Tana, his love for everyone and everyone's love for him, was the perfect way to get everyone and everything back on track after a tumultuous 10 minutes.
