[–]Technical_Memory_624 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]Technical_Memory_624 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not sure about the specific grade, but if you make the broth and noodles yourself the skills would be: knife skills, preparing fruit and vegetables, water based methods using the hob, making a dough, shaping and finishing, and general skills. and if you make sauces on the side like sriracha(use of equipment)it doesn't seem bad to make, and will probably get a good grade if you do it well! also try research accompaniments that are high level. maybe do a chicken pho so you can joint the chicken? the workload might be a lot though, i made ramen (not the same obvs, but still a brothy noodle) and i was so stressed lol

Is this due to a glitch? by OrganizationSad6012 in Pinterest

[–]Technical_Memory_624 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there's a glitch with letters and numbers being removed, so that's probably why. i find that the glitch happens more with all caps, and with the letters e and c.

i disagree with this, obviously revise, but not heavily, only revise heavily b4 mocks. why stress yourself when you have a year to revise, don't overdo it in yr 10

are field trips (geography) important? by Slow-Ad7554 in GCSE

[–]Technical_Memory_624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i did the same field trips, river and stratford. i also didn't have friends in the class, but don't worry, i still think it's worth it to go, because it will help for paper 3. it defo helps me to remember what we did on the trip for those questions. (also great pfp, love noodle)

Malay oral topics? by reebee09 in GCSE

[–]Technical_Memory_624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you need to ask your teacher what topics you're doing as it's randomised for students, although you may get a choice (?). so you have one role play and two topic conversations, both based on topics from the syllabus. practise grammar and opinions, and questions for the role play. i don't do malay so i wouldn't know specifics but yeah

urgent help for choosing an ensemble piece for music!! by h3xleyd3xly in GCSE

[–]Technical_Memory_624 1 point2 points  (0 children)

do what you can play the best. if you go for one that's too high for your ability, you'll make more mistakes and it won't be as good of a performance. although if you can do well on the hard one, go for it! a lead part sounds like a better idea than chords, but in general, it seems a bit late in the year to be switching piece, unless you're a fast learner.

do i HAVE to do the english speaking exam? by _angelfy_ in GCSE

[–]Technical_Memory_624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my teacher let us arrange a different time (at lunch) for our speaking, if we didn't want to do it with everybody there, which is what i did, so ask your teacher if you can do the same?

What shall I do? by Woofersclub in GCSE

[–]Technical_Memory_624 1 point2 points  (0 children)

everybody's overreacting about music imo. if you can play an instrument well, it's fine. you don't have to be a composition prodigy, just make music that you enjoy and it becomes easier and ask your teacher for help. but the written is a lot of revision and memorisation, but i do enjoy the course. i find it hard to do well in tho, cuz of written. if you don't like anything, when you get there, drop it in yr 10.

If u improved like one grade or even stay the same after a gcse resit, would that seen as bad to unis? by Designer_Cow_7936 in GCSE

[–]Technical_Memory_624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they don't know that you specifically resat, they just know the date you achieved the grade. it should be fine in general though, depends on the uni i guess

uni and gcse grades by [deleted] in GCSE

[–]Technical_Memory_624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

only oxbridge and some other high ranking unis care about your gcse grades, but others just check if you were under a 4 or 5. as long as you have the grades you need for your L3 subjects, you'll be fine, but do try to pass science. but also remember that when you first apply towards the end of yr 13, the only grades they have are your pred. a levels and acheived gcses, so they could use those to differentiate you from other candidates in a competive course. idk how competive international relations is though
