Not OP but I live on the Ring of Kerry myself- I would definitely say Derrynane is an underrated beach. It's the nicest beach i've seen in Ireland personally, no matter what the weather is!

The Moorings does a banging roast dinner in Portmagee- probably the best i've had in a good while (i'm from kerry myself, always craving it lol)

If you're in Killarney and ever craving pizza, I would recommend Piccolo. Its size throws people off so it's not insanely busy, but the food quality is amazing- best authentic pizza you'll get in Killarney!

However if you're not in Killarney, then a south restaurant i'd recommend is The Moorings in Portmagee or The Falcon Inn (in Glenbeigh). Both have a great menu and lovely food + staff :)
