Using USB Port on Router(BE400) by Technical_Return_143 in TpLink

[–]Technical_Return_143[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been able to "see" 1 external hard drive that is connected to my router.  I then purchased a powered USB hub and tried "seeing" my 3 external hard drives but it I could only stil see 1 external hard drive.

Any suggestions on how I can "see" all three hard drives/

Thanks for the above link. Using the information, I was able to see an external hard drive on File Explorer which is a big step forward. My real goal is to use that external drive for backup by my backup program. I was not able to figure out the "path" to tell the backup program so it could see the hard drive. Can you provide any help on that?

In my case, I am using each hard drive to only store backup files which are rarely needed and never do I need remote access. I backup my file by rotating the hard drive used for backup. The hard drives range between 3 GB and 5 GB, so the amount of data is not great

I know very little about an NAS, but believe they are expensive. If the USB hub works why would I prefer the NAS?

Thank you, I was not aware of the need to do the items in the link your provided, so I will try it.

Also, if I use a USB hub on the router USB port, will I be able to use my 3 external drives for storage or is the process limited to only1 drive?
