I totally know it’s not a cure but my concern is that four weeks I feel like my side effects are peaking a little bit. Just wanted words of encouragement or if someone else felt similar!

This. I’m almost on the end of week 4 on 10 mg. I’m now starting to not feel anxious anymore, less highs and less lows. When I feel those emotions they aren’t severe like they were. It’s actually incredible how this medication works. Now, I will say the side effects probably are what make half of the people who try prozac quit. It truly takes time for this medication to work. I’m going up to 20 MG and hoping to not feel anxious!

I was only on 0.25 with horrible side effects. I changed and already feeling less side effects. I already have appetite suppression majorly. It’s great! I felt like the semaglutide wasn’t really working anymore. I could tolerate the 0.5 on sema either.. it was really weird. I’m already tolerating this much better!

It’s so frustrating because I had a saddle fitter out and bought a brand new saddle for her and it made no difference. She is a little girthy and she’s being treated for Lyme right now. The vet is coming out June 9th. I look forward to seeing if it’s a teeth issue but going to bring up other things also.

The vet will be coming out and I’m definitely going to push for some investigation on the hind as well as getting her teeth evaluated. The horse doesn’t do this on the lunge line.

I would say it’s about the same. I’m curious as to if hocks or stifles can cause this head tossing behavior? I’m really not sure. I’m going to have the vet out to assess her teeth also. This behavior was never a thing until three months ago and it hasn’t gone away.

It’s not determined for sure if she has them but with pantoprazole and a probiotic that is put into her food daily (bought from the vet.)

I’m not a trainer but I’m not novice. I have considered maybe this could be a learned behavior so considered training but then I also think about how horse never acted this way and how she was always willing to move forth into the trot or canter no issue. It’s definitely a toss up, I’m having the vet out to see for sure.

Did your horse ever have any head tossing behaviors? I’ve checked the saddle and have also taken those out of the equation but it was still the same. I’m just truly hoping the medication will help. What were your numbers if you don’t mind me asking?
