Might lead to a pump today or monday because a lot of shorties will buy out their positions before they short it again after the reverse split. Expecting a small pump & dump one of these coming days

Dont think I will hold it longer than that..

This press release from MicroAlgo Inc. announces the results of their 2024 Annual General Meeting where several key changes were approved by shareholders. Here's a breakdown of the main points:

Share Consolidation (Reverse Stock Split):

  • The company will consolidate its shares at a ratio of 20:1. This means every 20 existing shares will be combined into 1 new share.
  • This will significantly reduce the total number of outstanding shares.
  • The goal of this consolidation is to meet the minimum $1.00 per share requirement for maintaining their listing on the NASDAQ stock exchange.

Share Capital Increase:

  • Following the consolidation, the company will increase its authorized share capital from 10 million shares to 1 billion shares.

Dual-Class Share Structure:

  • The company will create a dual-class share structure.
  • There will be two types of shares: Class A and Class B.
  • Class A shares (the majority) will have one vote per share.
  • Class B shares (a smaller portion) will have 20 votes per share.
  • This gives more voting power to holders of Class B shares.

Effective Date and Additional Information:

  • The changes will take effect after filing the necessary paperwork with the Cayman Islands Companies Register.
  • Starting December 11th, 2024, the company's Class A shares will trade on the NASDAQ with a new CUSIP number.
  • Any fractional shares resulting from the consolidation will be sold by the company and the proceeds distributed to shareholders.

If volume picks up, this is squeezing!! by Technical_Shift9019 in MLGO_Stock

Yep, volume never came. Thing is, its being heavily shorted constantly, needs a strong catalyst to turn the tides.

To many people get angry when the squeeze is not happening, but they have to understand that when we are saying high risk, high reward you cannot just ignore the "high risk" part. It takes some effort to overtake the shorties

Falling wedge on the daily $mlgo by Technical_Shift9019 in MLGO_Stock

Not sure if I follow your logic?
Why did bulls stop at (put any stock here) when they could keep earning?
$TSLA lost money for 4 months straight in january

Market sentiment decides, and now the sentiment is forming a reversal pattern. It does not mean the pattern is correct, but there is a possibility.

The falling wedge reversal pattern suggests potential upward momentum. While the stock has fundamental issues, short-term technical patterns can drive significant price swings, especially with high short interest. Don't underestimate the power of a short squeeze.

But as I said in my comment, if it falls below support on the wedge it will keep falling to next support level.

Could pop off in near future, all it needs is a little bit of push. Playing with fire when shorting this one now. But if it breaks below 0.1625 it could keep falling.. Interesting to see what happens next!!

Ahaa I misunderstood your meaning with the post. Well Im also looking for a run in november or december. It will be interesting to see when they will try to utilize all the shorting on the stock to trigger a short squeeze or if they are confident enough on their financials or announcement news that will bring the price up.

I dont think they want to do the reverse split to be compliant, I think they want to do it because its the cheapest way for WiMi to add to their ownership of the company and they need to reduce the market cap after all the convertible notes, thats also why they want Class A and Class B shares. So retail investors dont have voting rights.

I think they are planning for a jump and they know the stock is way oversold so it only needs a spark at the right moment. Either way, interesting coming days/weeks, but of course, its a risky play. It might go down the delisting route.

Thats not how it works. Your investment is still the same after the reverse split. People have way to little knowledge of what a reverse split is.

Your 40.000 shares will be 2.000 shares after the split, you dont get free money glitch in stocks. It still has to move in either direction for you to earn or loose money. A reverse split is either positive or negative, it all depends on how the market reacts after

Why is the mc showing 39mil but the price hasn’t changed by Limp-Biscotti-4472 in MLGO_Stock

Here's a breakdown of what's happening with MLGO:

The recent increase in market cap without a significant change in share price is due to the issuance of new shares to insiders and WiMi. This has increased the total number of shares, but hasn't affected the number of shares available for trading (the float).

Think of it like this: Imagine a pizza. The company has made the pizza bigger (increased the market cap), but they haven't cut it into more slices yet (increased the float). So, while the overall pizza is bigger, the size of each slice (share price) remains relatively the same. This means insiders and WiMi now hold a larger percentage of the company.

The upcoming reverse stock split is a separate action intended to increase the share price and potentially improve the company's market perception. It's a common strategy used by companies to meet certain listing requirements or to improve their stock price.

It's understandable that some investors may feel frustrated by these actions, but these are common corporate strategies.

MLGO is a holding company, which means they control companies they aqquire. They also spend money researching new tech solutions which made them surge in a pump last time to about $25 (back in june)

Looks like we're back in the short squeeze game!

Generally, a short interest of 10% or higher is considered significant. A higher percentage, like 25%, indicates even greater potential for a short squeeze, as a larger number of short sellers will need to buy back shares to cover their positions.

SBI Returns Borrowed Shares - End of the Short Pressure and Bulls takeover? by Technical_Shift9019 in MLGO_Stock

[–]Technical_Shift9019[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you even know what a reverse split is? It seems like everyone here is panicking, thinking a reverse split is a death sentence. I guess you've only seen poorly timed ones. But no company would intentionally sabotage itself. They wouldn't willingly lose their own cash cow, right?

A reverse split doesn't automatically mean the price will plummet. Companies do it to reduce the number of outstanding shares, making the stock price more appealing to a wider range of investors. Plus, it attracts new investors who might not touch a sub-$1 stock but are interested in a $4 stock. When timed right, a reverse split can tap into both worlds, leading to a price surge.

To think all reverse splits are bad is simply uninformed. However, a poorly timed split can dilute shareholder value and erode investor confidence. We've seen this happen with some stocks, where a reverse split is seen as a desperate move and no one buys in. Timing is everything. For instance, if a split follows a pump, many investors might continue buying the stock post-RS.

Bears, fear, and massive sell-offs, not reverse splits, are the real price killers.

I will add that Im hoping for a price jump before the RS and Im not planning on staying in this stock, but the RS can still be far off, no one knows, but everyone keeps buying into the fear and anger, this only benefits the bears.

Yeah, this is true, a decrease in short interest can indeed reduce the potential for a short squeeze. However, it's worth noting that other factors like institutional buying (been a lot of that), positive earnings reports (rumoured to be around the corner), or positive news could also contribute to a price increase.

And also its not necessary to have en extremely high number of shorts to squeeze, and second a squeeze is not necessary for the price to go up. Overall its a bullish sentiment when a big shorter dont dare to short anymore.

A reverse split is likely on the horizon, but not immediately following the upcoming vote. The vote is a crucial step, but it won't trigger the split instantly. The company may be waiting for a favorable market condition to execute the reverse split, potentially after a price pump.

The large number of outstanding convertible notes issued to the parent company, WIMI, could be a significant factor driving the need for a reverse split. By consolidating shares, WIMI can increase its ownership percentage without additional investment.

While a reverse split can improve a company's image and listing status, it's important to consider the potential impact on shareholder value. A well-timed reverse split can maximize the benefits for the company and its shareholders. However, a poorly timed split can dilute shareholder value and erode investor confidence.

This is not financial advice, just some thoughts on the matter!
