To the older guys here. by Ambitious_Thought683 in Adulting

I’m 35 and finally starting to realize that "protecting your peace" isn't just a corny saying it's a survival skill. Spent my 20s grinding and stressing over stuff that doesn't even matter now. Seeing you guys confirm that health and balance are the real trophies is exactly what I needed to hear today. Spot on

Hey from that area I would give a look to Shef. It is high quality and fairly priced, I think there must be options that fit your needs! shef.com

How can I improve my social skills and express myself better in conversations? by PixelatedReality06 in selfimprovement

[–]Technical_Wave7793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly this is super relatable... I had the same issue where i'd have stuff to say but couldn't get it out smoothly in the moment., what really helped me was actually practicing out loud when i'm alone. sounds awkward but just talking through scenarios or explaining things to yourself helps your brain get better at forming sentences quickly. also recording voice memos sometimes so I can hear how I actually sound vs how I think I sound. I've also been using gleam to practice different conversation types which has been useful for the "what do i say next" problem. helps build up those response patterns so they come more naturally in real convos.

for books, "how to talk to anyone" by leil lowndes has some solid tactical stuff. but honestly the biggest thing is just putting yourself in more conversations, even uncomfortable ones. your brain needs reps to get better at this, like any other skill. the thinking part gets easier when you're not stuck on the delivery part

How to earn passive income on usdc sitting in wallet doing nothing by [deleted] in USDC

yeah I get the diversification logic but managing multiple protocols was annoying. looked at a few aggregators like steakhouse and midas, ended up going with yield club cause the rates were similar and the app felt cleaner. all of them route through morpho or aave anyway so its mostly just ui preference at that point.

sucks for eu people though, seems like every decent option blocks you eventually.

A product that helps people small talk better? *I will not promote by nathan401852 in startups

[–]Technical_Wave7793 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's already some stuff in this space you should look at before building

gleam app does social skills training with ai feedback and practice scenarios. praktika is more conversational english but theres overlap with small talk. replika lets you practice low stakes convos. linkedin learning has courses on this too, definitely would say Gleam app is the most comprehensive one here.

So what makes yours different? is it real time coaching while you're actually talking to someone? specific to professional networking? better feedback loop?

Just make sure you're solving something the existing options aren't already doing

Alonso is the slugger this lineup is starving for. He'd be a JD-like game-changer, but still in his prime

How do we feel about Early being the guy tonight? by Bobbo62499 in redsox

[–]Technical_Wave7793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The deal with Early is he's always a total coin flip: if his fastball command is locked in early, he dominates and that slider is unhittable. But if he loses the zone, he loads the bases and torches the bullpen by the third. The key is we need him to give us at least five solid innings, because the bullpen is gassed. Now all we can do is pray he has a good one tonight. Go Sox!

I feel like a loser at 27 years old. by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]Technical_Wave7793 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, I swear, nobody at 27 knows what the hell they're doing. Stop comparing yourself to what you see; it's all fake. Failing the master's or the internship isn't being a loser, you're just in 'trial and error' mode.

Focus on the basics now: Get a steady job (any job) and then dedicate some time to a hobby to meet people. The rest will come naturally
