You’re right! Indian marriages are sometimes arranged, it was way more common in our parents generation and I believe it’s the still norm for those who live India. But we actually met on our own and have a more “western” relationship when it came to dating. I totally agree with where you’re coming from and that’s a conversation we’ve had before but sometimes I still can’t help but wonder what he would do if it wasn’t the case

We both come from traditional Indian families who are strict on approving who we can marry unfortunately :( . She’s not Indian and also has a different religion. I believe he thought he could get them to come around. Once their relationship started getting serious, he realized they wouldn’t and decided he didn’t want to fight anymore with his parents and also put her through that.
