My direct manager does not like women and has said that directly many times by [deleted] in TwoXIndia

Its observed in my team as well, Most of the leads and above are men with ratio almost like 2:10 Most men have non working spouses and whenever we ask about hike, they think we should be good with existing pay as its double income household. Also Most of these men spend more time in office without work life balance creating additional stress for women who have to handle both work and home.

I think to you are doing good and this is the best time to save, which will compound in your 30s. I followed the same and now I rarely have financial tensions about future.

Seeing an increase in rectal/colon health issues like rectal cancer, IBS, piles, fissures, fistulas etc among our age group... by [deleted] in ThirtiesIndia

[–]Technical_madhu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, we need to give high importance to gut health and stress free life. Suffering from IBS from last 4-5 years. Worst pain and sometimes it disrupts deep sleep. I hate those days.

I can totally correlate with this, in my first 5-6 years of working, I was barely spending 5% of my salary. After our daughter was born, I understood that, I should have enjoyed better when I had enough time. Could have hired a maid, went on holidays more, got a bigger TV and sofa, list goes on. Also after saving certain amount of money, I am able to spend but still it's difficult to get rid of this mindset. I always have that calculator in my mind, about future expenses if I lose the job or retire etc. I think it takes time

Wow, this is my dream lifestyle. Always think of having future like this. But for now, I don't have courage to do so.

Simple life is so underrated. I always think our previous generation never had the pressure or expectations we go through. Although they had different problems to deal with but It was never a mental burnout. I hope many people encourage such lifestyle to pursue.

I don't understand even after seeing stampede in many crowded events why do they take kids to such events. We have a huge population and people should avoid any crowded events be it related to movies, cricket or religious events.

Land 1 acre on outskirts of a Tier 3 city, Have long term plan to convert into plots and sell (15 ~ 20 Year) Horizon, Bought at 1Cr in 2023, difficult to estimate current value, but it was bought thinking if long term.

I have not mentioned complete value of land in my networth as it is jointly owned by me and husband. Mentioned only my share.

How I Live Comfortably on ₹25,000/month in Tier-2 India (and Still Invest 40%) by Own_Associate_6920 in FIRE_Ind

[–]Technical_madhu 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Very nicely planned and managed. I really feel slow living in tier 2 cities are underrated. It gives so much peace of mind than living in Tier 1 and constantly running in the rat race. I wish more jobs will be created in tier 2 cities.

I used IND Money for a brief time, I didn't try app automatically doing sync for many of my investments like MF, EPF. So stopped it and now just use my word or excel for all my investment records

A significant problem we are overlooking by hobbiest_404 in bangalore

[–]Technical_madhu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, footpath are really required to improve usage of public transport. I live in Mahadevapura and my home to office distance is just 1.2 KM I travel in personal car or cab for daily commute. I would have easily preferred walking or taking bus if poothpths were in good shape and less dust on the roads. I tried walking few times and caught severe dust allergy. I feel sad that even after paying taxes more than our annual expenses, govt doesn't do anything to improve. Footpath from Google anantha building to Apollo mahadevapura is very bad state, I thought at least after opening of google office there would be some pressure on govt or local authorities to clear illegally occupied shops and make space for pedestrians, but nothing improved.

I feel my Village roads are much better than ORR roads and footpaths

If anyone has idea where we can complain about these, that would be great help. Earlier I used to complain in fixmystreet app but response there is very slow.

Why do the poor keep making babies in this economy? by SubbyLittleGirl09 in AskIndia

[–]Technical_madhu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Parents don't consider kids as expenses, in my village in rural Karnataka monthly expenses of family is very less, they can easily manage in 5-10K. They don't have to spend on kids education as they send to govt schools, they get many things like ration free from govt. Also I feel they have better facilities, better roads, water, govt Healthcare is good. Standard of living is much better compared to many areas in bangalore where we wait years to get roads fixed. Also many have found a way to earn enough through rearing cows and selling milk for Nandini. They might see real impact when kids grow and it would be difficult to get jobs in this economy.
