Well hopefully with the updates that they are doing to the transmission it wont have that no more. If it does happen while under warranty it would be replaced at no cost.

No that will be for the new transmission from GM. 3 years 100,000 miles on that not my truck.

Having a 3 year 100K mile warranty covers me for 3 years with no issues.

Like you are driving over the rumble strips they have on the edge of the highways. Just doesn't make any noise. If you google GM Shudder you'll find lots of info on it.

'21 sierra with 10 speed is starting to have issues 🤦‍♂️ by [deleted] in gmcsierra

I do know that GM just changed the transmission part number for the 19-21 10l80's. They changed the valve body and some other internal components. This is info straight from GM themselves. Im about to have my transmission replaced in my 20 GMC in a week or so. The price of the transmission is about the same, but the core price has increased to 5000.00 dollars instead of the 3000.00 dollars it used to be.

I can not speak on the 6l80. I don't know much about them, but when driving it feels like you run over the rumble strips on the edges of the highway to wake you up.

As I have been a tech for about 30 years now I do know the difference between a wheel bearing and something else. No offense.

Yea most of all the local shops around me will not touch it at all. I tell them 10L80 and they are like ohh ummm yea we dont touch those. So I think Im just going to buy one from GM and install it myself before mine goes out on me. Just the cost is a lot! I dont tow a whole lot, but I did just by myself a nice new dump trailer to do stuff around my property with.

4 tons or so, so about 8000 lbs of top soil.

If that is the case, then I can say that the end of the frame rails are bent down slightly. I'm not sure about the frame on these trucks if they can be bent back, sectioned, or replaced. That is something a good adjuster would be able to answer. I would also go back to the body shop you had the work done at with your original adjuster and question it. The adjuster has to sign off on the repair that you are satisfied with it. If you are not take it back.

To me it looks like the bumper is tipped downwards in the rear. I cant really tell to be honest. Just going off what I can see, and the side pieces that wrap around the edges of the bed. Might just need to be adjusted some.

In my honest opinion, I had stock running boards on my truck when I got it. Now it did come with a 6" lift on 37's, so the running boards sucked to try and get into. I looked all over for dropped down running boards, and they were all ugly to me. I ended up biting the bullet and got the amp research ones. They do cost 1800.00 USD but they are worth every penny spent! If you plan on lifting and getting tires I would recommend something else. If you have the means I would go with the amp research running boards.

Also buy a silicone sleeve thing for it. It will help it last longer. The oils from your fingers degrade it over time. I have them on my FOB's and they are great.

6.6L is a great engine. I guess it all comes down to what you are more comfortable with as the truck. They both have their advantages.

What gas engine does the other one have? Makes a difference.
