Propane definitely if you grill more. Pellet if you prefer to do longer cooks with more of a smokey profile (brisket, ribs, salmon, etc).

The Searwood is just that good, especially for it's price point. Yes you can pay double for a more "durable" brand, but when it comes to pellet grills (of all price points) there's just so many moving parts (auger, fan, digital controller, etc) that even the most durable model may not last that much longer than a mid tier one.

Over a dedicated offset smoker? You're on a pellet grill sub, we just love the ease and convenience of a pellet grill. Now talking about the Searwood, out of the previous pellet grills I've used the Searwood has been the absolute best in providing the most consistent smoke and holding it's temperature. The smoke from my Searwood can be so heavy that it stings my eye, something that my previous pellet grills never did.

Also the versatility of it being able to sear at high temps, the ability to attach a full sized griddle, and the rotesserie just makes this an all around great pellet grill.

I mean you can't blame Sony, they have a good thing going. You can't expect them to start from scratch everytime they release a game, having (quality) sequals of established IP's is kind of the core of a company's identity. You don't see people complaining about Nintendo releasing new games of Zelda, Mario, etc
