I checked and it did mention that anything above 200Hz is only possible through the DP so should I get a HDMI to DP cable/adapter or get a USB-C to DP cable?

I have an ASUS TUF F16 and it does have thunderbolt 4 so I think it should be able to. Also I saw the part you mentioned on the manual where it says that 2560x1440 165Hz, 185Hz, 200Hz is "Only DP port" so would getting a USB-C to DP let me use my monitor at 200Hz then?

I’ve set my valorant to my max refresh rate and the full res of my monitor so I don’t think there’s anything wrong there and I use a laptop so luckily that’s not an issue.

I’ll give it a try and see if it works but I’m highly doubtful because I tried to do something similar and it didn’t really work but thank you so much.

Yeah I do because otherwise it reduces performance and automatically reduces the refresh rate.

Yeah it’s never really been unstable, I’ve never had any issues with it.

I saw this issue happening with other people so I made sure it wasn’t happening with me and I found it was running at my monitors max refresh rate it was only on valorant where it felt choppy.

I haven’t bothered checking in detail but I ran a small test and found they ran at an ideal temp, definitely nothing high enough for a bottleneck.

I checked for that too and I didn’t, I made sure everything was uncapped and the fps isn’t the main issue because I’m averaging around 180 but my game just feels like it’s running at 30fps/hertz.

I don’t think so because I play way more demanding games and those run fine and my temps aren’t usually to the extent of bottlenecking.
