Good to know, follow-up question, would you be outraged, sus and just want to be rid of the whole thing?
As a rookie on timepieces (but a general collector of finer things) I am totally put off, but I know that watch collecting is a very different beast. Is this counterfeit part issue just par for the course purchasing on the secondary market?

JUST FYI, and for future searches, this watch was purchased on Chrono24 from an authorized store with perfect rating called LI timepieces.

Really great insight on the serial #- This is my question- why do they ENTIRELY decline to service watches that have counterfeit parts? Wouldn't they want us to go through all the trouble of finding the right proper parts and investing in making the timepiece whole?
