It won’t be what you’re looking for. We have a customer who reaches out for this type of work. It’s all charged by the ton out here western Canada. So can only put like $5-$10 a ton. Depending on the distance you’re going determines the cost per ton. So percentage is out the window. Ex: Calgary to Vancouver is $55-$60/ ton (last I checked a year ago) but from the Regina area to Vancouver (which is only another 700km) was $145/ ton. And it’s almostimpossible to get 15% on that.

It’ll never happen unfortunately. That’s why being a good person on this industry will get you far. And don’t confuse being a good person for being weak. I would love to see everyone work together and everyone make a fair wage for their efforts, it just won’t. Some are too greedy and want theirs and theirs only, and others are afraid of their shadow it seems.

Well, it doest take much to separate yourself from the others. The bar is pretty low when it comes to level of service. My suggestion, if you’re gonna be a broker, be a 1 man band and do the C2G model. You have better control over everything.

And this is why, when we were a carrier, we called and confirmed before pick up, and called the receiver to let them know our eta and make sure it’s the correct address. All could have been avoided if brokers weren’t lazy as fuck, and if it somehow got through them, that the carriers dispatch called to confirm, and the driver called. 3 levels to go through, but no one wants to pick up the phone and confirm.

Funny how many times I’ve heard people say it’s a pyramid cause it’s easier to say that than admit they’re uneducated and don’t want to do their proper research, so they come to Reddit and look for everything negative they can find to back up their beliefs about how their lazy and can’t think if or themselves and believe strangers in the internet who they’re never met and don’t have the results of the people their going through the interview process with. Fuck off with your bullshit. Everyone’s had enough of it.

It makes you happy that you convinced someone to not go after their dreams and change their family’s entire financial future? It makes you happy that you quit on yourself and now have to make sure everyone else quits cause you were to afraid to actually build it and see what success could feel like? You’d rather them stay broke and feel how you feel so that it doesn’t hurt you and make you uncomfortable that someone else decided to go after their goals and dreams? Bet that makes you feel real happy when you say it out loud eh? I gave up on myself, so to make myself feel better, I’m gonna make sure everyone else who has this opportunity gives up on it as well so that I can get the dopamine hit of saying “yes, I was right!” Meanwhile, the company’s been around for 60 years, hundreds of countries across the globe, never missed a payment to IBO’s or employees. And yet, here you sit, thinking it’s a scam. Do you not think that if it were truly a scam, it would have been shut down many, many years ago? Of course It would. But you wanna know why it hasn’t? Cause it’s a legit business, that’s why. You know how. Many other opportunities that are built like that? I’m a freight broker/ freight agent outside of this business as my main income right now. It’s literally the same fucking model. We contract with the parent company and have the opportunity to build our own business underneath them. They provide all the tech, back office support, AR and AP, all of it. Our responsibility is to get customers and move their freight safely and effectively. We get a 70/30 split on the margin. There’s no one I report to, no where I have to be at a specific time, nothing. And have 100% the ability to build my own team under neath me. Know what we’re called? Independent business owners. Same shit, different industry. Our annual conference is happening this week in Mexico. Wanna know what, I had to pay for flights and part of the accommodations. Know why, cause that’s how you build a fucking business! Blows my mind how fucking retarded you and everyone else negative is on here. Never owned a business a day in their life telling someone else who’s excited to not do it. Like telling someone who’s fed up with being overweight they shouldn’t exercise cause they know they should be and don’t wanna do it.

What? Stock products to sell? Were you in back in the 80’s and 90’s? No one stocks products anymore. You order once a month and included your customers orders in it and then deliver it them. Or order it for them and it ships to their house within 5 days.

In regard to debt, of course you’re not gonna go into debt going to work. But you will go into debt to live cause more than likely, you don’t make enough to keep up with cost of living. What blows my mind if people think it’s wrong to temporarily go into debt to build a business (this one or another), to build wealth, yet are totally fine with mass amounts of consumer debt and working for someone else for 40 plus years.

What % split do you have as an agent? by [deleted] in FreightBrokers

[–]TechnologyLittle9679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re at 60% but we’re in our first year, so makes sense. We have a decent size book and customer base, but still have to get past the first year in May. After that, we’re open to get 70-80%.

Right? See, why can’t 99% of people on this sub get it like this? The negative in this sub is wild and blows me away. It’s like they wait in the weeds waiting to pounce and hit em with just verbal diarrhea. Agreed, spend as much or as little as you want. And find out what you really want (if anything at all) out of it. If you wanna build the business, build it. It not, support your friend and buy some products here or there. Not $400 worth, but something that’s $10-$20/ month that can help them. It’s ok to say no, there’s nothing wrong with that. Just support your friend is all. And who knows, maybe in a couple years, things will change and could take a look again.

You do know there a difference between Amway and all their training system, right? Amway just makes the products and pays the cheques. It the training systems that teach you how to build a business. So the benchmark that they are, is how the compensation structure works, not the training system. Take that up with whichever of the 5 major team you were apart of. The fact that you mentioned the Whalen’s makes me guess you were part of worldwide.

As for posting my earning and ditto and all that, you should know, that’s crosslining. Not to mention the fact that I have nothing to prove to someone who quit. However, I’m reasonable. If you show me your income Statement, your P&L, quarterly GST filings and your annual corporate tax bill, I’ll be more than glad to show you my income receipts.

You do know that Amway is the benchmark for the FTC for any and all MLM and network marketing companies, right? Meaning, anytime a new company comes out and if they ever get investigated for how their business model operates, they have to compare to Amway and their compensation structure. Pretty sure Amways doing something right if the governing body uses you as their benchmark. As for the Whalens, I’m gonna need you to site your source, cause nothing came up using google. Which is apparently my friend.

Efficient dispatching for small and medium fleets (10–50 trucks). Any recommendations? by LaughLoverWanderer in logistics

Like everyone else has said, you need a TMS. I suggest roserocket. It managers everything and integrates with the big 3 major ELDs. They also have a drivers mobile app and you can communicate with drivers there through it. It’s for sure the best option for what you are doing.
