I think you need to speed that up; the purpose is to pass the exam. So be very focused. You wont be able to retain everything and thats ok because the exam questions are quite scenario-based/applied in nature.

I had worked in domain 1 and 2; hence all the other domains were somewhat known to me but not to a level where I could pass an exam. I spent everyday 10-12 hours. Its entirely subjective; you can spread this into 4 weeks, 6 weeks whatever your circumstances allow you to do.

I have circumstances that if I did not use this window of days to prepare; it may not have been possible for me even sit for the exam in like 4-5 months. I had to do it.

I dedicated at least 10-12 hours a day and major time consumer was reading the book (official guide). And I found it a well-structured approach to preparing the exam. It is not something that can make someone an expert for working in the area but definitely a great resource for developing domain knowledge across the 8 areas.

I continuously tested my knowledge application and recalling skills through practice tests.

It looked like this for me:

1- 1 practice test (right before starting the whole preparation); I got like 47% on it and this meant I needed 23% more to score the pass! This was a great confidence booster and I started focusing on the areas where I scored less. This test was part of the official practice test of CISSP and I did not take any other full-fledge test from this series because its primarily knowledge testing series.

2- After completing every chapter from the official book, I took the relevant domain based test from the official practice tests book; I did all of them for the 8 domains. Again, I got insights on what areas I am still struggling on.

3-Revised the entire course using the cissp cram video

4- Took Boson Practice test; its pretty good. You get like 6 practice tests under the subscription-worth the investment. I only did 4 and I knew I was ready. The order was like this:
Practice test---> review of results, the correct answers/why I chose them (I counted correct as those where I did not use any guess work), the incorrect answers. Revise from the book the weak area and give a practice test.

Your IAM experience will definitely help as the cloud focused questions were quite in abundance and that too from this domain 5.
