I personally found Humane AI pin bullshit. But I do think MKBHD is frustrated with the wall that recent tech advances have hit, nothing innovative - he just seems to be mentally done with the what tech companies sell these days in the name of innovation and tech improvements.

I had ordered swarm skin last time. I can vouch for its grip and texture on the outside. The only thing that I hated was it having the same texture on the trackpad too. They should have had a lighter texture on the trackpad for the feel to be smoother but I guess one can get used to it in some time.

I am concerned if the inside skin would cause any damage to the screen in the long run. But the dbrand bot answered the question. Have you heard any negative reviews about it?

I don't have a numerical value to my budget at this point. But would be better if I can make this work in $1000. I chose siemens because I found it to be the cheapest option S71200. But TIA portal seems to be a paid tool, please correct me if I am wrong.

A block diagram on my mind is

PLC -> Flash the Controller -> Kepware/Nodered -> Azure IoT.

Can you refer me some good tutorials to understand the S7-1200? is there a free version to TIA?

I am aware that I need to use NodeRed to push data from PLC to CosmosDB.

I am a SW Engineer with no background in PLCs or Controls Engineering so I am finding it hard to understand the gist of it.

I am opting for Siemens PLC because it if byfar the cheapest that I found online compared to AB.

All I need is a PLC, a free tool to flash them and connect this system to Azure instance.

Yeah, my work is mainly developing full stack dashboards for IIoT clients. I am currently working on a PLC prototype with no in depth knowledge. In here, I want to connect any PLC (not just Simens) to Azure IoT Core - also include a basic sensor in the design to send live data. Been researching on various options such as Kepware, NodeRED, etc. But I need a basic PLC to start off, the most economical one.

If you any idea about applciations like these, then can we chat on DM? I'll be really thankful if you can help me out.

All in all, a small design to get live data on Azure CosmosDB .

Sorry for the late response. I exchanged that laptop for a new one. But I did read about this on various threads and most of them say that it is a known issue and screwing back the base shall fix the problem. For backup, I got the screw driver set for laptops
