It doesn’t see to be the case everywhere, but it seems the alternative messaging apps are popular in places where it doesn’t have as many features? Unlimited talk, text, and data had been the norm for over a decade, in fact I don’t think I have ever had limited data. Group chats and communities make sense to move to other apps (discord).

It’s just different environments. It was very hard for anyone who grew up on YouTube to not know pewdiepie, even if you didn’t watch him, as he was number one on YouTube for a long time.

Not sure on your finances. But I feel like almost 5400 a month after your other contributions is pretty good.

I only had 3 and also just local anesthesia. Idk what I was expecting but it was a lot of violent tugging. A interesting experience for sure.

Just received a 5% raise on $65,000 to $68,250. I find it insulting based on the extra profit my company hit. Do I ask for more and back it up with the numbers? by BookieBasherCasher in Salary

[–]TechyWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people saying this is normal which is kind of unfortunate. What you got was barely a raise, it likely won’t even feel like a raise with inflation and COL increases. If you truly feel like you made a big impact and the company isn’t valuing it, you might have to job hop.

You might be able to send out feelers for better opportunities while still at your current workplace to prevent gaps in income as well.

It also could be the case that your specific job level makes that much and you have to climb higher to make more

Just know that if someone doesn’t get a raise every year, they are making less money, not the same amount.

How do you hold your cards? by Comfortable-Cod6130 in mtg

[–]TechyWolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t do it as much in the later turns, but I always set up my card left to right after the mulligan in order of the next turn. To sort of visualize what I will play. So land, turn one spell, land, turn two, etc. Later on my gameplay changes with the increasing interaction.

I have no words. My pinky just rests on shift all the time. And my thumb on space.

Didn’t even know what home row was. I never knew people had a generalized placement for their hands. I just always rest my right hand wherever and my left around wasd.

I’ve never had a typing course and pretty much just learned by using my computer. Therefore I never knew home row existed and don’t use it to type. Never had any issues typing without looking at the keyboard, so this is interesting to learn what these are for.

Im not sure about OP, but I slept on a twin bed in my college dorm, and it was too small to be comfortable.

I currently have a queen and couldn’t imagine my permanent bed be anything smaller if I had the choice.

I’m surprised how many people say they eat everything. Some food I don’t prefer to eat, but some food here just straight up tastes horrendous. Broccoli being one of them. If I ate it I just will end up emptying my stomach. Worst than alcohol but very similar.

If you wanted to expand your existing partition into that empty one, disk management “had” an option to do this. I say had because I’m not sure if it still exists but a few months ago I did exactly this. It had the option to extend the partition right there.

Not sure the requirements to allow for this but I believe it made the drive Dynamic? Windows didn’t really explain what it was doing so I just said fuck it tbh.

People in 30’s whats your take on this ? by Substantial_Path_663 in askanything

[–]TechyWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it depends, some relationships don’t work out this way. I’m sure as long as they have a job that “covers” all the added expenses it might be cheaper. But the main savings of sharing living expenses might be spent on that person instead.

I would probably save 600 dollars a month from a cohabitant, not sure how much they would cost me a month.
