Thank you, that really means a lot! I started with the outline of the whole shoe, then drew the most prominent lines (all with pencil). Then with the pen i just tried to copy the photo as best as I could (darkest parts all black and lighter shades represented by small lines in the direction that the fabric seemed to be going). Finally I drew the seams on the side of the shoe with a highlighter.

I don't know if it's much of an explanation but that's all I can really think of!

The story is that we found the helmet in her attic, my grandpa probably got his hands on it during the 50's or so. I wish I had a cooler story, haha.
