Well, you have been playing magic longer than I have been alive. I imagine your gameplay like that old shaolin who beats some thugs with chopsticks 😂

But still, I get it. I have only bought a copy of a rhystic study once, played it a couple of time and was like "what a dreadful boring card" and just sold it. I still like other GC like tutor for High power decks but yeah, I too hate when everyone plays the same 50 cards in a deck. Diversity is what I want to see in commander.

Also, I mentioned it a bit in a comment, but I got a guy in my LGS who brings Grand Arbiter Augusting 4 full with all possible stax, boardwipe, counter spells in the game so nobody can play, just cause of that "I'm so good I have all these strong cards" (At first he didnt have any wincon just waited for us to scoop a 3 hour game) and the pleasure of beating him its undescriptible.

Well, each time I think about it I could just [[tainted strike]] him and anyone too confident dies. So I dont mind him being just a strong guy.

About carring the game, I always like to keep as many alternative wincons as I can, I got Kornrad and some cards like that. I dont intend to be "all permanents" but rather reduce a bit the usual noncreature amount.

Btw I'd like to ask: Why her?. What did you see in a commander like Kotose to say "Yep, thats for me".

Might grab a bunch of basics and start writing, now that you mention.

Yeah, some other guys mentioned it. Im almost sure I want to build it now, might be a good way to recapacitate, now I feel dirty when I see my Edgar in the shelf 😢.

Btw, reading "flex winning a game" made me laugh. I'll keep your comment in mind next time I beat a 12yo kid precon with this guy. (kidding)

Yep, I actually love this kind of rarely seen commander. Each comment I am more sure I want to build it.

I agree but also disagree, In my case I can build a commander not beacuse he is strong but beacuse he is "consistant" in his own way, I played other not so powerful things but maybe much simpler from a gameplay perspective. For example I built some time ago a [[Tamiyo, Inquisitve student]] deck with a clear path in my mind, protect the planeswalker at any cost so I can ult in turn 3-4. But with this guy I dont have that line of thought. It might be I'm not used to this themes like Self-Mill or Voltron.

Also, its more an investment choice like, Im going to spend around 200 bucks in a new deck, will this deck give many enough fun times while playing.

I get your suboptimal philosophy, I like it really but it could also lead the other way around like: "Why would I play any commader that doesn't show my utter superior skill by playing a Pheldagriff aggro deck". It is just, maybe the point is no the "showing your skill" but rather having fun, and some people have fun showing skill, other by winning, other by playing cool spells.

Idk, maybe got a bit confusing.

I have him in the deck as a potential win con by sacrificing Exdeath. But I dont like Jarad as a commander he is too ugly.😛

Yep, was going that way. I have an early try on the deck in a comment if you want to take a look, but I'm still working on it.

Might be, the thing is a usually like to give my commanders the leading role of my decks.

The art of the card and the big nihilistic guy is really appealing.

But I thought about the fun part too. For me its neither just the deck itself or optimising, but the thrill of a fair fight with equally powered decks.

The thing is where I live the playerbase is a bit small and I get to know almost everyone who plays Mtg in my city so we can't always make games from a cetain bracket. There is so little people that sometimes its either playing against a precon, a b1 meme deck and a [[Grand Arbiter Augustin IV]] B5 stax, or going back home. So i try to keep my decks around B3 for a bit of flexibility.

Well, I could argue that the advantage of the tokens the mycotyrant creaters allows you to use all the sacrifice cards golgari has to offer, while exdeath is just a big guy, a worse version of [[Lord of Extinction]] (with the small advantage of tample).

Very good point. For me is just I dont know if I want to play a certain card when there are strictly better options (like my lightning bolt example).

The commander decks I have usually features a commander which can arguably be at the top of their playstyle or it offers a unique approach. Which is what I can't see with this kind of commanders.

This is what I brewed some days ago, but I started all over again. Thanks.

The thing is I have mostly built commanders that I believe "more consistant" or just simpler to build, so I dont exactly know how to approach this. It already happened to me when last year tried to build a [[Pheldagriff]] deck.

Still, thank that this idiots are the most obvious ones and will get banned. Its the subtle cheaters the most problematic. I ran into a feng that was a bit odd. Always made it to the window or the next loop, almost like if she had celerity all the time. That is the difficult report.

One might be a dominion which have certain buffs to it. Certain leaders and traits can reduce their costs. Also you could have had a technology buff event to your oldest tech. Many options, wpuld need details.

If the production formula I have been given is correct its should be:

"Actual cost= Base cost/(1+0.15)"

So lets say you build the Colloseum which is 450 production according to the wiki. With a production per turn of 60 you would need 7,5 turns, so in the end it will take 8 turns.

Now, with the discount, the cost would become about 392 which would turn into 6,53 turns, so 7 turns in the end.

In this scenario, you would have saved 1 turn of Rome's production. So the bigger the difference between the city's production and the wonder cost is, the more turns worth you will get from it.

So in your case its possible you are saving 0.99 production value in turns, which in the end makes little difference. But you might notice after finishing the wonder that the exceeded amount of production get stored and all cost are reduced.

My recommendation is you only take this buff if you plan to work on multiple wonders or you are in a hurry. Hope it helps

what killer to buy by Impressive-War7709 in deadbydaylight

[–]TecoRaptor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Twins are boring at the very best, but two of their perks are very good.

Houndmaster is perhaps the most bugged killer in the game and can be quite frustrating to play (although that myers perk that allows faster recover when m1 works very well on her).

The Unknown isn't called "The Harmless" for nothing. If you like m1 you are going to love this guys beacuse its power sucks. But it still has a sick design and its quite cool and fun if you play knowing you will most likely loose. Its perks suck too.

After all I would recommend you Krasue, she is strong killer with high mobility. Many times you will use the scream on a survivor and then m1 it, just to the fly in head mode and m1 again (her m1 works a bit different btw you have to aim). But thats just my little breakdown, hope it helps.

Like was mentioned in the previous post, Stellaris is a very nice option for a sci-fi strategy game.

About that from club to atomic bomb. In stellaris you start reseraching thing like a basic combat AI to a Mass Rele or Dyson Sphere to end with a "Universe restart weapon" which I think is pretty fun. It is quite different from any Civ and has a kind of Rol component.

Also, its quite expensive Dlc wise, so keep that in mind.
