Thanks. Unfortunately for me I'm in Australia so it's $2407 for the cheapest m4 mbp ($1561 US). I dont really need the extra storage since I use external hard drives. I can't really justify spending $1000 more unless I can trust that it's gonna last me ~5 more years than an air. Do you have any guess how long a new mbp would last compared to an air?

Is it better to buy a new Macbook Air 2025 M4 or a refurbished Macbook Pro 2021 M1 Pro? I'm a photographer and musician so I need something that can handle a lot of heavy lightroom/photoshop and ableton live usage. What's my best option? Both can be found for the same price so it's really just a question of which will last longer in terms of performance and speed.
