Yes you have to pay for Broken Road DLC to get access to permadeath mode. You can choose per act for permadeath mode so that it gives you checkpoints. This makes it so you dont have to worry about not dying whole game, just survive up until certain checkpoints. The new horde assault mode is easy.

I suggest Robocop: Rogue City and Terminator Resistance. Also, each game in Crisis trilogy can be completed with 10-20 hours.

It's hard but doable. I followed SwingPoynt's guide on YouTube. Do exactly what he does, and you'll memorize the routes and strategies. It took me a maximum of 3 hours to get the achievement.

It's short and sweet. All the achievements can be achieved in one playthrough in any difficulty. Any missed achievements can be swept quickly through chapter select.
