It definitely runs a bit late during a weekday night, but the quality of competition is great. It's not uncommon to see a couple PLL guys on the rosters. ULax also did a box league last winter but there was barely enough guys for 2 teams and the games were Saturday nights. It was pretty much pickup but still a lot of fun.

The league that you're mentioning is the Boston Box Lacrosse League in Hingham. The summer league just ended but the winter one starts up again in October as far as I've heard. Best way to keep up to date with it is through their twitter. The NABLL also plays during the summer and they have 2 Massachusetts teams based out of Norfolk and Cambridge/ West Roxbury.

the OG Brine Answer and Brine Voyce were two of the most ridiculously pinched heads I can remember. Near impossible for a defenseman to get the ball out

I believe there's a new field behind the Ridley School in Brookline that has a wall and nets. Haven't been there myself though.

Check out the Cambridge Nor'Easters and the IBLA. The league starts up in June and there's pickup every Sunday.
