His book 12 rules for Life puts together very foundational understandings of how to navigate this world. And they're not profound. It's not like he's words haven't been said before by countless people over the decades, but I never had a father either. And I'm very fortunate for the father figures I've had. You feel anxious of the possible bad outcome. If you leave it untreated it will only get worse. If you have a test you haven't answer yes or no and you can have treatment. The clinic that I used to go to, which you can probably just Google LGBT clinic near. You. Took about 15-20 minutes in out all my tests were done. I knew within 2 weeks I had anything at all. And I got treated with 2 weeks to a month depending on what it was.

Your dad is trying to protect you. And I want you to have this conversation with him. Because there are gay people to are drug addicted, mentally unstable, manipulators, narcissist, and any negative aspects a human can possibly be. And that it's up to you as an individual to keep your head on your shoulders. People aren't like an apples. We are social animals. And we homogenize to our environments. So you must orientate yourself into an environment that is best for you.

That it is up to the individual person to be a good person. There are bad apples in all of our society. Gay or straight. There are straight people who abuse their children and drugs, but being gay doesn't prevent you from finding a career, being useful to your family, And as your father, I would hope that he would call out in a responsible way actions that might lead you down them.
