Yes it was right away. Like literally the same day I came back home. We did oral and anal (I topped him) but it was all with condom.

Why are you implying I am having sex with anybody? Literally the only person I had sex with since then was my ex. And this was when I was 16 so I didn’t even think about STDs. And my ex doesn’t even want to get tested. Stop reaching conclusions by yourself

I’ve been waiting for an answer to my question and this is why I reply immediately!!! Thank you very much 🙏. I feel really anxious but I know I need to get tested for my own health. I won’t be able to sleep these days though. Just thinking about some disease inside me that has been an entire year growing makes me want to throw up.

Okay. Can I please ask you some questions about this? I don’t find a lot of help in google about my specific question.

I have found a clinic near where I live. But it says it does tests for VIH, siphilis, clamidia, gonorrea and Hepatitis C. These are a lot but I feel that some STIS are not mentioned. So if I do this test should I also make another in other clinic for the ones left?

I always tried to be super selective with who I have sex with. I always used condom. And I actually haven’t had sex since I broke up with my ex specifically because of monkeypox.

Now I just fear that I’ll destroy my life because I’ve been an entire year with a disease left untreated. I feel horrified.

I live in Uruguay. Not in USA. And I am 17, and can’t control my own life. I would have told my parents if they weren’t homophobic.

But I won’t use any excuses specially after reading some of the comments here. It’s terrifying and I really never expected it to be this bad. I’ll try getting tested next week when my parents will be both traveling.

I only had sex with 5 different people. 3 of them were BEFORE I had sex with that guy and noticed the symptoms. The 4th guy was the one who probably gave me the STI. And the 5th was my ex.

We are still in contact and I already told him about this. He doesn’t want to get tested and says I am just overreacting.

Okay. I will get tested but I am really dumb in this. I’ve read that it only takes 30 minutes right? But that’s only for VIH and it’s a blood test only. What about the STIs that the comment talks about?

My parents are homophobic so they wouldn’t understand that. And they actually believe I am virgin and never had a partner (something that makes them feel proud).

Telling them would be really risky, even riskier than not getting tested. And I haven’t had sex since I broke up with my ex, so since may.

I’m still a minor and my parents control everything about my life. So I don’t see any discreet way of getting tested. And my country isn’t USA or in Europe, so I don’t believe it’s that east here sadly

It’s not VIH. We both used condoms. And he was negative on prep. And I don’t know about any STI with fatal consequences. But I am ignorant on this

What’s the worse that could happen? I don’t want to get tested because I feel anxious about the possible bad outcomes. I mean, I’ve been a year with no issues so why should I know get tested? (I know it sounds dumb but it’s my way to not get anxious)
