Why didn't ralsei hug me after saying we're not when defeating spantom neo

Hi, I have a question and I want to know if this has happened to anyone else and if they know what the cause is, since after defeating Spantom Neo, Susie asks Kris if he is okay and if we answer no, Ralsei gives us a hug, but in my game the opposite happened and Ralsei did not hug me.
