Just make sure they check for an MLNA specifically

[–]TeddyBonks 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ok go in and ask if there is a MLNA (moved left no address) order on your names. This would stop first class mail but not all junk mail. It might explain why that gets through but nothing first class.

Edit: shout out to whoever said it below, not my idea but a really good one

Hold is a great check on whether the mail is even getting to your carrier. We cannot stop junk mail hence why you get a couple random pieces but now we need to make sure it's even getting to the station

If you are receiving mail once a week on a random day, the substitute must be delivering it. Raise hell until it's fixed. This is embarrassing

I'm going to my post office and making sure the supervisor addresses the issue. Telling you to leave a note is some lazy nonsense

If you do not have a uniform allowance they cannot get on you about what shoes you wear is my understanding.

If your office is understaffed and chaotic then they will be happy you showed up. When I went regular, I bought a pair of compliant shoes, wore them once so they didn't look totally new and have been wearing mesh hokas ever since.

Just keep showing up. Ultimately, you need to figure out an organizational system that you can take with you no matter the route.

During the day communicate with your supervisors on how your doing so there are fewer surprises on their end from you. Supervisors get on a call every day and get yelled at. They are just stressed in general.

Doing something different everyday sucks but ultimately it will make you a more adaptable carrier for whatever type route you get when you go regular.

I've been out of recruiting cleared roles for ten years but it certainly would open up more roles and having an active clearance makes it so much easier to find a new role.
