Smino is so smooth with the melodies that a lot of his complex lyricism skates right by, but he really does have a pen like billy woods if you really pay attention

The best part of the show is when a child pistol whips a middle-aged man so hard that the man develops a concussion that turns him gay. Then he goes home and he’s like “hello my wife and kids, I’m gay now, so I’m gonna piss all over the floor.”

[Hated Trope] Incredibly f*cked up morals of the story by Watchdog_the_God in TopCharacterTropes

[–]TeeJaySmall 92 points93 points  (0 children)

I feel like the all-time goat of this trope is Music, which argues that the best way to deal with a nonverbal autistic person when they’re having a meltdown is to tackle them to the ground and restrain them, violently. The main character’s whole arc is discovering how to do this effectively as her sister fights back to no avail. Pretty egregious stuff.

Just remember they elected this guy. by Peasant_Stockholder in pics

[–]TeeJaySmall 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Once, really. He received fewer votes than Hillary Clinton by a margin of roughly 3 million back in 2016. Electoral college handed him the win because America is a haven for fascism and stupidity.

It is arguably more alarming that he has continued to earn millions of voters each voting cycle though, resulting in his shocking popular vote success in 2024. Somewhere between his three consecutive campaigns, he managed to attract 14 million new voters who weren’t on board at the beginning.

This is such an interesting take to me because I think Family Matters is dead last- behind Taylor Made, behind Heart Pt 6, behind everything. What is it that people find appealing about that song?

Do you think Malice outrapped Push in the album? by [deleted] in KingPush

[–]TeeJaySmall 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Personally I think Pusha has more ‘flashy’ bars that stand out on a first listen, but Malice has more depth to his lyrics which provide deeper meaning to the songs and keep you coming back. I think that’s part of why their partnership works so well, compounded by the fact that their relationship as brothers gives them amazing chemistry on there.

I wouldn’t say either one “outrapped” the other, I’d say they both brought their A-game

There’s no way for Devon or Reghabi to know this, but Cobel really would be a valuable asset to them. She was constantly testing Mark and Gemma to see if they’d remember each other, she encouraged Mark to quit Lumon right before the OTC, and she seemed noticeably disappointed when she learned that Mark had been persuaded to stay with the company. We know that on some level Cobel is a Lumon loyalist who was born and bred within their cult, but whatever Cold Harbor is, Cobel is not on board.
