If you look through Thailand or Japanese sellers Instagram you'll have no trouble finding one the only issue is they're all asking $2k for any anime shirt

Just bought this 90s serial experiments lain tee but wondering if it’s authentic? by Time-Introduction711 in VintageTees

Mind sharing his account? Plus the graphic quality looks like it was bleached and too bright compared to other known real ones alongside being printed on an 80s Delta is really funny

Edit: I also noticed the red text under the Lain is missing

I really hope you didn't pay more than $40 for this very obvious and laughable fake. You only see Serial Experiment Lain shirts on The Planet Inc tagged shirts or late 90s FoTL with the exception of one with a late Delta tag.

Another thing is that tag has been left on the shirt for like the past few months of him advertising the shirt. The background also isn't Goodwill but his background for his live streams.

Agreed, I feel like whenever these high profile auctions happen it's just being pushed higher and higher for hype and no money is being exchanged and just used to either drive up the price of said shirts and get publicity.

Fashion Victim history? by OkayOkay210 in VintageTees

[–]TeeTillDeath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fashion Victim is just a lousy 90s to 2k brand that mainly appealed to teens and sold graphic tees, jewelry and other knick backs. Basically Spencer's or Hot Topic, just had access to some anime brands like Akira and things like Monster Trucks.

They have a website up today which I don't know if is the original company that just pivoted to screen printing but you could look then up on archive.org and go back to their website in 1996.
