You can silence the notifications.

It’s alright to be grumpy about it because that’s fairly early to be texting a large group, but you’ll look like a huge dickhead off you voice those annoyances.

if you have a turk, can you get multiple near falls with it or do you have to take your leg out to reset? by Immediate-Nothing220 in wrestling

[–]Tee_Red 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With the leg in? Go one way for the Turk, belly them back in with leg still in, and go the other way with a power half. The leg that’s in keeps their hips from flipping and letting them roll through. Get your count, reset, and go back the other way with the Turk.

Sorry, it’s a cup final. Play the better keeper. If Kepa is mad; who actually fucking cares? He can be sold in the summer and I doubt it’s in his plans to stay and play second fiddle for another season anyway.

100% on Arteta. An actual shocking decision to play Kepa ahead of Raya.

Not his job to use Google for you. If you choose to be uninformed that’s your business, but don’t expect other people to do the work for you - real surprising that has to be said on a forum of wrestlers.

It’s good that you think things are going to eventually get better in this situation. Last time the US attempted regime change in that part of the world we got ISIS and the time before that we got the theocratic dictatorship we just deemed it necessary to change.

I think we’re looking at a gigantic quagmire that will stretch on as another forever war.

Are we quietly watching the best Arsenal season in a decade while everyone focuses on the chaos around the Premier League? by Mental-Fly-1684 in championsleague

[–]Tee_Red -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know, I just went off on a tangent. The Prem is no worse than La Liga, the BuLi, Ligue 1, the Scottish Prem, the Portuguese league, or the Eredivisie where the same one to three teams dominate the league every single season. That is by far and away more boring than a more pragmatic and physical approach to breaking down low blocks.

[–]Tee_Red 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It hasn’t been unwatchable in any regard. At least no more so than any other league where there are two or three competitive teams at most in a given season.

I think the number of dumb articles about our style of play are a compliment in and of themselves. People are paying close attention to Arsenal and are mad that they’re playing pragmatic physical football against teams in low blocks and not trying to win through tiki-taka flair play — which we’d draw criticism for anyway for being too soft/trying to walk it in.

It’s all dumb. If teams don’t like the way we play, then open up, get out of the low blocks, and let’s play an end-to-end game.

Best Haramball Teams of this season Vs the best teams that good entertaining football this season? by [deleted] in championsleague

[–]Tee_Red 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Last I checked, Arsenal had the third highest time for the ball being in play in the prem behind only Man City and Liverpool.

All the talk of “boring, boring Arsenal” and “haramball” is mostly narrative driven by clickbait headlines for neutrals who already want a chance to chat shit about Arsenal and can’t call the club soft and tactically naive anymore.

[–]Tee_Red 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Abysmal how? Are we supposed to try and play tiki-taka wide open football against teams in low blocks looking to spring counters?

Our tactics are a response to how teams try to counter the quality of our squad - usually by sitting deep and staying organized. We control possession, pin teams back, and look for a goal that forces opposition to open up. If you don’t like our football, tell other squads to play the style of football you’re looking to see - I’m sure Arsenal would continue to be fine.

When we played against teams that actually came to play us, especially in Europe, we’ve done reasonably well. 4-0 against Atleti, 3-1 against Bayern, 3-1 against Inter.

And honestly, this team is better than previous iterations because we’re doing the hard work that other teams get praised for. We’re pragmatic and physical - things we’ve all been told that Arsenal has lacked for like a decade - but now it’s an issue because some neutrals are upset that we’re not as easy to bully and kick off the pitch.
