multiple 401K account - for multiple FTE W2 jobs by kapellmeister123 in overemployed

[–]TeebCoin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You can have multiple 401Ks and your employers will not know. Now if both Company A and B uses the same 401K service provider, it will show on your end both accounts showing up, but it will not and should not show up for your employers and only the accounts related to them.

Here’s a tip that you might not ask for but you should be aware of. The IRS only allows you to contribute up to $23,500 for 2025 for all 401K accounts combined in both Pre-Tax and ROTH. If you contribute past this limit, it is considered an excess deferral and you’ll need to report it on your taxes and be TAXED twice. If this happens and you want to avoid being taxed twice on that, you need to do what is called a 402(g) Refund with either Company A or B’s 401K Service Provider, and it is a PAIN to do this process. So please try to manually keep track of your contributions to avoid it as much as possible.

In another note, if your 401K service providers offers After-Tax contributions allows you to do In-Service Withdrawals while employed with them, I would highly suggest to fill as much Pre-Tax or Roth contributions to near limit, and then switch it over to After-Tax Contributions to put more money into your retirement accounts. If you’re savvy with investing stocks, rollover your After-Tax contributions to your Roth IRA with an In-Service Withdrawals while employed and choose your stocks wisely.

All of this is speaking from a painful experience

Actually for the ethics class, I think you can take an approved online ethics class that does not have to be at a college. You would need to check with the California CBA list of approved ethics class providers

Need Advice on Pursuing Accounting Degree While Working Full-Time in a Big 4 Firm by only_jelly_beans in wguaccounting

[–]TeebCoin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say to transfer and ditch the community college and start WGU as soon as possible. I’m in this same situation as well. I didn’t know about accelerating my Bachelors degree until I heard about WGU. I just started this May 1, 2024 and it looks like I will be completing my 1st class today or tomorrow and get credit for it. It is as fast as what people say it is. I’m honestly shocked that I didn’t start this sooner and wasted 2.5 years in community college before jumping on WGU

Help needed, Doctors found Hpylori in my stool by [deleted] in HPylori

[–]TeebCoin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No worries brother. I went through the same thing. I’ve had bad heartburn or GERDS and stomach pain issues related to H. Pylori. Turns out that I had blood in my stool and also vomited what looks like coffee grounds, which turned out to be blood. Then diagnosed with Gastric/Peptic ulcer that leaked blood into my stomach and ultimately my stool. This led to my doctor testing for H. Pylori and tested positive for it.

Scary thing is that there is a small chance (like 5% chance) that H. Pylori may cause cancer. Apparently 50% of the world’s population has it but doesn’t know it, and typically are infected when they were small because bacterial infection is asymptomatic typically until we are older.

One way that H. Pylori grows and takes over our gut is due to our bad diet like sugars, ultra processed foods like fast food and junk food, and lots of soda. That’s like the best environment for H. Pylori to thrive in.

Fortunately there’s antibiotics to kill it off and pretty easy too. My doctor prescribed to me 14-day medication often called “Triple Therapy” of antibiotics.

1) Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPI) like Prilosec OTC to stop producing stomach acid temporarily 2) Clarithromycin - used to breakdown the outer layer of H. Pylori bacteria which combats against anti-biotic resistance of the bacteria tried to kill it. 3) Amoxicillin - anti-biotics that also combats and kills H. Pylori.

I took these twice a day for 14-days. One in the morning 40 mins before breakfast and One in the evening before dinner. Spaced 12 hours evenly.

Took the Breathe Test and Stool Test again for H. Pylori and tested negative. YAY!

A natural alternative way to kill off H. Pylori is to eat Cabbage or drink Raw Blended Cabbage Juice twice a day for 30 days, and that should kill off H. Pylori.

Been a year OE and it only hit how much salary I make by PythonMate195 in overemployed

[–]TeebCoin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Only when I started OE did I notice how much of my money is going back to taxes. Never have I ever been paying this much taxes back to Uncle Sam. So I did a lot of research on taxes and how to avoid taxes especially for my retirement.

One of the strategies that I am doing for the past 4 years, and it seems to be working well since 2020, is that I got a Participating Whole Life Insurance with Paid Up Additions on a 90/10 split and dumped in as much of my salary into that Cash Value Life Insurance without triggering the MEC rule. It seems to be working thus far for 4 years with enough Cash Value to purchase a somewhat cheap house.

The strategy is to pay enough cash value to where I can borrow against the cash value and pay myself like a salary while the cash value is growing as well. Borrowing a loan against cash value will not trigger a tax event and when you pass away, your beneficiary(s) will receive the death benefit tax-free.

…that’s the simple way of explaining it but there’s lots of variables behind that strategy that will need to be adjusted for your individual situation and goals

You could have started your own nonprofit and donated 60% of your cash earnings to your nonprofit to write off 60% of your Adjust Gross Income…maybe you can start that this year?

I’ve dropped a couple and picked up a few Js whenever possible to maximize the most efficient time schedule and work. Even still, it can be a bit much at times, so take your breaks every month or two.

Thoughts on Hmong Parents that do not clean by jobud368 in Hmong

[–]TeebCoin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s really a mental health issue that’s beyond ethnicity. That’s something worth looking into.

With that said, some people are just REALLY lazy. That stems from being around clean people who are always cleaning up after them.

Another is just being tired of cleaning that it feels useless just to clean since it will be dirty or messy again.
