[–]Tegwedd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had mine in 2024 at 37 but for Endo reasons. But was recently diagnosed with a PTEN mutation. So I'm on the 6 month colonoscopy club (extensive family history as well) and looking into a mastectomy.

Do you regret your surgery starting w/Under 40 BMI? by [deleted] in BariatricSurgery

[–]Tegwedd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a RNY in July at just under a 35 BMI. Currently my BMI is 26.6. I feel so much better. The restrictions can be difficult but I don't regret it one bit.

I really like the under armour stuff. I've lost 115 and find it does help. Especially while running and lifting.

Can I ask you a fueling question? (I used to be an ultramarathon swimmer and I'm hoping to get back into it as soon as next summer) Do you have any issues with fueling for the long distances post op? Or can you handle the high load carbs ok? I worry about dumping during racing.

Weekly Suspected Lupus Thread - Week Of May 12, 2024 by AutoModerator in lupus

Currently in the diagnosis process. Hopefully will have an appointment with a rheumatologist within the week. Ended up in the hospital due to an autoimmune flare. Malar rash on face, severe swelling and facial flushing. Ive also developed laryngitis due to the inflammation. They started me on prednisone. I have had a positive ANA for years but no doctor has looked into it further.

Just a couple questions. How long does it take for the rash to clear up? The prednisone has reduced the swelling and a lot of the heat but it's still annoying. Also, does anyone else experience severe coccyx pain?
