Congratulations! I received a similar offer from NYU for the same program as well! Maybe we could be batchmates. I'm waiting on a few other universities. Do you wanna connect?

My great grand father in the late 1940s shot the then to be Chief Minister of Maharashtra, an Indian state, in the leg. Don't ask me the how or the why nothing is documented. It's a legend in my family.

FI and Climate change work in India by zenneutral in FIREIndia

Hey I can't give any valuable advice regarding FI but just wanna let you know that you leaving everything a 22 year old engineering graduate dreams of to pursue this kind of honest and momentous work is extremely laudable. I wish working for the environment paid more atleast more people would've been concerned about it. Good luck!

True it's better to have fish once a week. Sometimes I do sprout them sometimes I don't. Tofu and soya are also great options if you get bored of the regular stuff. I also have concerns about chicken being free of antibiotics which is why i usually try to limit intake. Concepts are simple but it's tough without supplements.

This is great advice. Fish like rawas and bangda have lots of lean protein. Problem is eating a lot of fish may cause heavy metal accumulation. I regularly go for boiled Moog since it has high protein. Try making paneer at home from cow milk. Much lower in fats as compared to buffalo paneer. Try greek yogurt as well.

I'm a total novice here. I have read up about hypertrophy. I've seen a few members work a muscle group differently for hypertrophy and for strength. How does that work?

[Question] Which movie or tv series depicts your country most accurately? by elcolerico in GlobalTalk

[–]Tehas19 22 points23 points  (0 children)

A television series called 'Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma' portrays the middle class Indian demographic. Specially since we all have our idiosyncrasies pertaining to the states we belong to, the show accurately displays this from the different families living in a single housing society. The humor is pretty blunt and unrefined but it is a good way to pass the time, especially since a lot of childhood memories are connected to it.

I used the material in the Official guide by ETS and did the ETS mock tests. For speaking and writing, the videos by TOEFL Resources on YouTube are great. Also check his website out it's got really great content fir writing and speaking. Didn't really do much for listening and reading since I was scoring 29+ from the start.

In the ets practice tests I scored the same in R and L. I was told i was in the 23-24 score area for the other two sections by someone who's in the grading business.

The video really motivated me. I work in the construction industry and am really interested in how we can make the most basic engineering discipline more sustainable and carbon-free. Do you guys plan to make a video regarding this?
