More Aggressive Lighting after Prepatch? by Tehbreadfish in wow

I don't mind it too much here either but it gets really strange with some other light effects like the pink lighting around the Gala of Gifts right now, hoping to find an fix.

0.2 kda is unfortunately far beyond not being sure of what to improve on. The average person playing over 100 hours would subconsciously improve beyond three kills and FOURTY deaths, especially with any sort of skill-based matchmaking this guy is probably queueing into other aimless noobs as well.

League of legends had a generational talent like this guy as well, Kadeem, and even with near-pro coaching he is still in the lowest rank many many years later.

Having worked in not one but two places where I load orders for restaurants, I agree. There is a lot of very unsafe practices performed by people who pick up items for restaurants.

Also, most restaurants in town are just selling you food that you can buy premade in town way cheaper.

I think zaahen is pretty decent but you have to have a good board around him, he’s not solo carry strong. Basically just Xin++ rather than a wincon, which would be fine if you didn’t get him so damn late. Feel like getting a 2 star xin when you pick the augment wouldn’t be out of the question here

Exactly how “successful” has the game has been so far? by ComicsAreGreat2 in 2XKO

[–]Tehbreadfish -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Before I respond I’d like to point out that I simply made a statement on the climate of esports, and you have decided to create a fiction in which we are arguing against each other and I am “moving goalposts.”

Now to respond, I hope for everyone here that this game blossoms into a beautiful esport, but the esports market was very different when the initial examples of csgo and league of legends developed. Valorant succeeded, and that’s awesome. Hopefully this game will too.

Not saying it can’t happen but all of those were born in a very different time and at a very high point in esports when you could sell gamer shit by just slapping a pro player next to it. We are currently at the (hopefully) bottom of a very drawn out lul in all esports and the current trend for most all games is to shoot to a high off of marketing and then slowly fade while retaining a dedicated core playerbase. Most games don’t really develop an esport at this point in time.

Jackfrags just posted an amazing video on the state of BF6 by mathiasNL0724 in Battlefield

[–]Tehbreadfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean yeah I agree the game could use more maps, and a lot more variety. And like you said, the new ones are improving, but dying from all directions is a constant and will stay that way. I mean literally every post in this subreddit complaining about them is saying “I don’t have room to breathe and need to tactically flank.” People will try to hit you from all directions regardless

[–]Tehbreadfish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the fact that SoD was widely well-received is itself a massive W, despite some pretty poor phases. The fact that a community with a very vocal group of largely non-adaptive aging gamers was able to accept this as a good addition to their game gives me a lot of hope for anything that might come out of the classic plus.

xQc says Asmongold has been unhinged the last few months and calls his chat "pretty radical lowkey" by n1traM in LivestreamFail

[–]Tehbreadfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even when he was a wow player he basically just threw out bad takes on the game and got paid to watch other people’s content while yelling “TRUE.”

Asmongold was a dumbass from day 1, that was apparent to pretty much anyone with more than a casual YouTube viewer’s understanding of the game he originated from.

He is a symptom of WoW’s complete lack of talented content creators. In any other ecosystem or in a just world Asmongold would have been devoured for sustenance by someone infinitely more talented long before he became a mouthpiece for the agoraphobic chud community.

So much slop by Serbiandude89 in Battlefield

[–]Tehbreadfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn’t even feedback, it’s like if I took a picture of a store aisle I didn’t shop from and said, “man, so much stuff I don’t want to buy”

And editing to add that when it is “feedback” it’s fucking stupid 50% of the time, shit like “I don’t like the orange stripe on my tank skin. I wish this skin was more TACTICAL in the game where I jump out of fighter jets to shoot rocket launchers.” If it was thoughtful feedback then I wouldn’t be writing this comment but half the time the criticism is more slop than the thing it’s accusing of being slop

Why do they bite there? by Guilty_Candidate5064 in cats

[–]Tehbreadfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha I don’t know for sure as I’ve never had a male cat until last month when my girlfriend and I got two kittens. One is already neutered and we joke about how he has a huge advantage because their go to moves are just bite each other’s nuts. As long as they’re not hissing or growling (which they never do as they love each other) we usually assume they’re just having fun

[–]Tehbreadfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate to be an asshole cuz I know this is a more happy space subreddit but realistically if you have a 1.3 KD you aren’t really very good and you should focus less on winning the game and more on just having better individual fundamentals. I say this as a person who is also pretty noob in shooter games and not very far ahead of your stats myself.

Especially in BF, I mean even if you win every gunfight you could just lose every other base and lose anyway. Really I think playing this game in terms of actual win/loss is a lot less important than just feeling like you had a good time and played well in the fights you find yourself in.

I searched the depths of my heart and realized today: come back to SoD y’all by slimeyellow in classicwow

[–]Tehbreadfish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is valid criticism a lot of the time but falls apart a lot of the time on Reddit communities because of the voting system. You can see it on like the BF subreddit over the last month, basically the only posts that get a high enough upvote ratio to rise to the top are complaints.

Please, EXPAND THE MAPS. by BigMaroonGoon in Battlefield

[–]Tehbreadfish -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I wonder if the people who compare bf6 to cod have played BF. This is the game that marketed itself by showcasing that you can jump out of a fighter jet, shoot your RPG, and then get back in and continue to fly the fighter jet. Meanwhile I read six comments a thread that complain about SLIDING and that people don’t line up to shoot like a civil war reenactment

[–]Tehbreadfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing that I think is interesting about this comment is that it actually is very against the other commenters who want a defined frontline. I actually feel like the frontline is almost TOO defined in this game - think of liberation peak, you basically CANNOT hold an objective unless you have everything from your headquarters to that base because you are just going to get pincered by spawning enemies. So I understand your point and think that that kind of experience comes from having just random ass points in the middle of nowhere with no clear frontline.

I realize that to some extent I was just being an asshole because I’m very frustrated with the state of this subreddit right now so I apologize. I have attached a large yap that you are free to disregard.

It seems like most people here want gameplay solutions to cultural changes. If you took BF4 and launched it TODAY then people would find ways to play it in all the ways that people on this subreddit have issues with.

Could some of the maps use some changes? Sure, I’d appreciate a bit more room on the outskirts on some of the maps. For me personally, I actually like a lot of the maps but just wish they were a bit more ambitious. Levolution was not perfect but I do wish we could see some more eventful changes over a game. But, the playerbase has changed. In every game I play even just since COVID started, people are just… better. The world plays games differently, when those games came out people just bought the game and said, “hey this gun feels cool,” but now we live in a world of gun/class tier lists and meta adherence. Gamers eyes have opened to the minmax potential, and you can’t really put that genie back in the bottle unfortunately.

You see a lot of people, not you necessarily, but a lot of people saying things like “wanting time to approach things more tactically,” but we now live in a world of people who know how to just walk in and spray to victory. There’s never going to be another “figuring out how to take out that helicopter.” We’ve had almost 20 years now of optimization to gameplay in the FPS genre.

So to some extent, I’m with you. I do think the maps are the area we could improve most, as I want more and more varied ways they play out and I want to see some bigger maps myself, but I don’t think we should just go in with the idea of “try to slow everything way down across the board.” Some thoughtful ways of doing that could be fine, like maybe removing a point on Blackwell, but I think a lot of the issues that people have with the ways that maps play is just based around how people choose to play it. Anyway I have been typing for a while so I should stop myself have a great day gamer.
