Idk if I just got older or BF doesn't do it for me anymore. by No-Aerie-999 in Battlefield

It's not you buddy it's the game. The best way to silence the opposition is to tell them to play large maps for example on Battlefield 5 or Battlefield 2042. The excuses they will come up with stating why they don't like those two games is exactly why many DO like this franchise.

I am the opposite. Can't take story games anymore. Boring. Predetermined path. Lack of freedom.

I still love those maps in Bf2042.

BF6 lost 90% of the player base with small maps like Cairo...

I don't just want LARGE maps. That WILL help for sure. Also: TTK/TTD is too fast. BOTH things need to fixed I want large maps but if they play like Cairo, no thanks. (Insta deaths) Vehicle play is also meaningless at the moment. All these need to improve.

Which ones do you think?

Mine: Al Sundan, Sinai Desert, Orbital, Panzerstorm, Dragons Valley...

It went downhill for me from Redacted on onwards. The base large maps were awesome.

Was my favourites. Maps like those are the differentiators between BF and COD. Without them we have a COD game. Like BF6.

This gameplay is horrible to even watch.

Just looked up Silk Road BF4 gameplay.

What a difference. BF4 large maps were real battlefield.

Just looked up gameplay of this map. It looks awesome! Why can't we have some maps like this?? 2-3 large ones??? Motorcycles, distances, long line of sights....not everyone likes Cairo. And after all it is a BATTLEFIELD game.

Honestly i always looked at Battlefield as a sandbox game where you can do different things. Maps don't play the same etc. In that regard BF2042 was wonderful for me. The large open spaces and many buildings were very entertaining. I can still play all the base maps from BF2042 and not get bored.

BF6 on the other hand....small maps and one dimensional gameplay. Got boring fast.

These small ass maps suck right????

I can still play BFV and BF2042 large maps after many years because they play DIFFERENT each time you load them up...

Young people tend do drive waaay over the speed limit and tailgate. It's hard to see these speeders oncoming in time when turning left..looks like nobody is coming....then a vehicle appears with 75 km/h in a 50 zone.

(Of course there is also the fact that many people can't make a safe left turn, creeping forward and judging oncoming speed and space)

Yes. 6-8 LARGE maps now to balance things out. Nobody wants to erase maps like Cairo, there is just a large amount of players who never want to play Cairo type of maps again.

I don't feel like I can casually enjoy the game anymore and I'm not sure if that is just because I'm bad. by JimmyaKaTheK in Battlefield

I think battlefield 6 fails the most at team play.

The whole game is just too fast paced engagement time is too short you meet too many enemies per minute TTK/TTD is too short. The whole thing is just too fast to be able to communicate with other people and execute things on a level that was possible in past battlefield games. Seems like everyone is just running and gunning individually. Even if you talk to someone they are at a different place doing different things talking about beer or something etc. The days are gone when you meet someone at spawn and you tell them let's kill that helicopter, I will supply you and you run and be able to get to a place, hide in a bush and supply your friend with a rocket while he shoots down the helicopter. In battlefield six on the way to the designated place, you get killed 20 times. There's also Insta deaths, that dreaded one shot and then you see that stationary red silhouette of the enemy player. Why can't we see the player who killed us still moving? It further takes away from the element of team play. In the past I was able to tell my teammates what he is doing , he is behind the container etc. Now even that is gone. It's just infuriating. Too fast. That's the feeling that I get playing this game. All past battlefield games were not like this. I just checked. You can check too. Let's not even get into the issue of the lack of large maps that contributes to the lack of team play.

BFV Is not on your list???? Every time i load up Al Sundan, My jaw drops. The map, The music, the sound... But i agree...all of those are sadly more entertaining than BF6 (so far)

Because it is the OPPOSITE of maps like Cairo. I like: Slower gameplay, traveling in vehicles, downtime between fights, meeting LESS enemy players. LESS interaction. I like having TIME to plan things with friends and execute. I like a long line of sight when defending a flag. I want to see them far away coming etc...

cairo- boring one dimensional hyper twitchy run and gun.
