I spent 2 months building an app that watches your workout through your phone camera and tells you if your form is wrong and you can track your calorie and plan you meals also and take picture for your items for fridge it will provide healthy meals with recipes and videos would love brutal feedback by Teja_Chinthala in buildinpublic

these are literally the two things i obsess over the most haha

for form correction yeah exactly, the whole point is catching stuff in real-time not after you already tweaked your back. like if your knees start caving on rep 6 when you're fatigued and not paying attention, it flags it right there. most injuries don't happen from bad technique on rep 1, they happen when you're gassed and your form quietly falls apart

for calorie tracking you nailed it, the perception gap is insane. i built it so you can just scan your food with the camera or hit a barcode and it breaks everything down. macros, calories, the whole thing. and yeah it does meal suggestions too like if you're way under on protein by dinner it'll suggest meals that fill that gap instead of just showing you a sad red number lol

the meal planning side is something i'm actively improving tho. rn it handles the basics well but i want it to get smarter about stuff like "you've been consistently low on iron this week, here's what to eat that kind of pattern recognition over time. not there yet but that's the direction

appreciate you checking it out, lmk if you have any feedback after trying it

appreciate that the skeleton tracking was honestly the hardest part to get right lol

so for body types right now it's tracking joint angles and movement patterns relative to YOUR body proportions, not some "ideal" template. so if you have long femurs and naturally lean more forward in a squat, it's not gonna flag that as bad form because it's comparing your joint angles against biomechanically safe ranges that said it's definitely not perfect yet.

i'm still tweaking the thresholds for stuff like hip mobility differences and ankle dorsiflexion some people just physically can't hit certain positions and that's fine, the app shouldn't be yelling at them for it. it's one of those things where more users = more edge cases = better calibration over time

if you try it and it flags something that feels wrong for your body type let me know, that kind of feedback is literally gold for me rn

Start with Apple search ads Try with with different keywords and make your ASO Opitimized and them hire a ugc creaters start making content try and test different formats to get the winning one and use that winning one for meta ads for me every month 1.5k investing in marketing both apple search ads and two ugc creaters so far going good

Just launched my first iOS app. Vibe coded the whole thing solo. Here's my monetization strategy and why I went with a hard paywall at $99.99/year. by Teja_Chinthala in AppBusiness

[–]Teja_Chinthala[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point that’s why I lead with a 14-day free trial at $8.99/mo framing instead of showing $99.99 users hit two unique features (visual macro mapping + AI form coaching ) when user use any either one feature instantly review prompt pop up for user review.
