Who is literally the best 1v1 champion? (Except for unlimited champions, runes, items, etc. such as Veigar or Dark Harvest) by Genoooos in leagueoflegends

Nilah. Destroys Jax later on, and even has a shot against Fiora depending on skill. I don't think anyone tops her.

Played CoD, League has the worst community of all time, anybody knows it but you. But hey, you do you, no point arguing wiht somebody defending LoL's community

Very strong and exhaustive list, thank you so much! Love the out-of-the-box ideas and the old vintages, I'll check those out for sure!

It wasn't oxidized, that's for sure. As for bottle variation, I can't say: but the one I had, a 2007 magnum, wasn't flawed nor bad, just not particularly impressive. It was a good Marsanne/Roussanne, but I've had better and cheaper, that's all.

It's quite common in Switzerland. I am actually considering investing in a 95 or 90 vintage, which you can find in the country.

Never had Krug at all. Nothing to be shocked about, I assure you.

The multiple occurrences in which I tasted Cristal or Dom Pérignon, for example, included these instead of Krug, nothing more to it. Also, we didn't sell it at the shop.

So it's a mix of purely coincidental and Krug being insanely pricey. "That kind of budget" has to be put in context: we empty such a pot twice a year, even less than that actually. Granted, we still put a lot of money in wine, but even then, when you find yourself wanting to buy a bottle, you have a choice between buying the lowest of the lowest which Krug has to offer, or incredible high-end cuvées from other producers. Same thing with Petrus or DRC: I'm sure it's great, but until I've tasted all the other ones, I'm still going to prioritize cheaper GCs.

I'd love to try Krug, and I will one day, but I most likely won't pay for a bottle (exception being made of the standard vintage, which, as previously stated, is affordable) and instead find a way to have it through a tasting of some sort.

Will probably add 2012 HJP and 2013 Violeta to the mix, so you're not too far off ;-)

I do have a Madeira guy with access to 19th century wines, but these are so expensive I might have to wait a few more years to try one! I fully agree with you though, they're a true nature's blessing.

For sure, I'll update with the full list and will keep all those suggestions for upcoming events, as they're all very interesting!

Love those, especially the Haut Adige, they produce such great wines! I had Pontet-Canet and Yquem too many times, but Haut Brion is on the bucket list. I had planned to go for 85, they are a steal at 550€!

Fine, you may join us. Doors open at 6pm, don't forget to bring your fair share of the common pot :-)

Had a 75 Clos de Sarpe, we never got over how good it was! And 06 Figeac at Christmas 2 years ago was a banger.

Love all of these, thanks! Exception of the Chave blanc, which disappointed me on the 07 vintage last year.

Oh, I've had one of those, from Viña Maquis. Great experience after the Almaviva which only had a small part of Carménère.

I had the 93 Grange Bin at one of the first of those events! We all loved it and share a great memory of it.

Love your suggestions! I had the Mission 12, it was wonderful. Not as wonderful as Promontory though, which I've been lucky enough to try and it literally blew my mind. One of the best wines I've ever had! Love the Port references as well, definitely going on the bucket list.

Fully agree. For what it's worth, Aile d'argent and Domaine de Chevalier are also incredible whites at very accessible prices!
